We’re less than 2 weeks away from the release of Nick & Knight’s album, and what better way to celebrate than with an album release party at one of our favorite NYC venues, Highline Ballroom? The party (not clear if they’ll be performing or not since any concert with Nick Carter and Jordan Knight is a PARTY) will be on Wednesday, September 3rd.
Nick & Knight’s self titled album will be released on September 2nd. You can pre-order on iTunes now! Watch the video for their single “One More Time” below.
Tickets and VIP Packages go on sale this Saturday, August 23rd at 10AM at NickAndKnight.com.

Game Changer passes and general admission tickets also get you all day access to the park. Get your tickets now and enjoy one last summer day before school’s back in session.
In a plot that sounds oddly familiar, A&E announced today that it had greenlighted a series that follows boy band members and brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, of 98 Degrees, as they open a bar in their hometown of Cincinatti, OH. Why mess with a formula that works? The show will premiere on A&E in 2015, and filming is already underway.
Both Nick and Drew are no strangers to reality TV. Nick was a pioneer in the celeb-reality genre, staring in MTV’s “Newlyweds” back in 2003. Drew was the champion of the second season of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” and returned for their all-star season in 2012.
Singer Joel Crouse is making a name for himself in the country world and setting his sights on the top of the charts with his debut album. When fans were able to purchase “Even The River Runs” on iTunes at midnight, the album climbed up to #6 on the country charts and it kept pushing its way upward as release day dawned.
Joel wrote or co-wrote every song on the promising debut effort, which is compiled of songs about the struggles of growing up and growing apart. He’s already opened for country superstars like Taylor Swift, The Bad Perry, and even Darius Rucker. Crouse isn’t one of those “cover a song on YouTube” stars, he took the time to build up his fan base grass roots style: in dive bars and on the road.
Watch the official lyric video for Joel Crouse’s single “Why God Made Love Songs” below.

We are huge boy band fans here at SecretFangirls.com, so we are thrilled that two of our favorite members, Jordan Knight of NKOTB and Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys, are teaming up once again for a joint album and tour. Having seen both acts live (NKOTBSB was by far the greatest concert of our lives), we have to say that both Jordan and Nick are the members that consistently BRING IT each and every night of tour. We can’t wait to see what happens when they team up on stage. Check out all of their tour dates HERE!
Watch the video for their first single “One More Time” below!

Let’s be real: When you hear the phrase “teenage band from the UK,” you probably cringe. If that’s the case, you haven’t heard of The Strypes yet, one of our favorite new artists. The Strypes have a sound way beyond their years, drawing influences from The Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones and The Animals. It’s hard to believe they are all under 18 years old. Their debut album, “Snapshot,” is available on iTunes now, and they just released the “4 Track Mind” EP in the US today. Listen to their track “Hard To Say No” below.
We unfortunately missed their sold-out album release show in NYC last March, which Rolling Stone raved about. Since the talented quartet hail from the Ireland, we weren’t sure when we’d get a chance to see them again. Lucky for us (and you) they are back in the US this week for a string of shows, including stops at the 9:30 Club and Music Hall of Williamsburg.
Check out the dates below and don’t miss your chance to see them!

Taylor has been teasing us with “big news” for a few weeks now. All was finally revealed in a Live Stream today hosted by Yahoo! And when Taylor says big news, she MEANS it. She kept dropping surprise after surprise, just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be any more news. In case you missed it, here’s what you need to know!
Taylor’s 5th studio album will be released on October 27th! The album, named “1989,” gets its title both from the year Taylor was born, and for the “late 80s pop” inspiration for the album. That’s right: this is the first full, purely pop album from Taylor. (Didn’t we all know it was headed in that direction?) There will be a deluxe edition available, with 3 extra tracks, and each physical copy of the album will include 13 Polaroids.
While there isn’t a tracklisting for the album yet (she can’t reveal everything!) You can pre-order the album on iTunes now and get an instant download of her new single, “Shake It Off.”
Taylor also performed “Shake It Off,” during the live stream. And then she dropped the video. Watch it below!
While we’re a little sad Taylor is leaving her country roots behind completely (her first album will always be our favorite), we’re excited to hear the next evolution of her sound. And, as she likes to follow the same patterns, we’re pretty sure that we’ll have a date in 2015 at the Prudential Center for the “1989” Tour. (Tour dates were the one thing she didn’t announce today…she covered literally everything else you could hope for!) Taylor did reveal that she will be hosting a contest and giving 1,989 lucky fans the chance to win a meet & greet on tour. Visit TaylorSwift.com for more info on how to enter!
This weekend T. Swfit will be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards. Tune in to MTV on Sunday, August 24th at 9PM EST to watch!
Nashville based singer-songwriter Tiffany Houghton had a prime spot opening for MKTO on the American Dream Tour this summer, which just wrapped up in Chicago. We’re sure she gained quite a few new fans during the run! Her upbeat pop-country sound (we hear a little Shania Twain and Avril Lavigne), fun personality, and awesome onstage energy definitely got the crowd pumped. Tiffany is the perfect blend of sweet and sassy, just like her new single “The Best.”
We had the chance to sit down with Tiffany before the tour’s sold out NYC stop, and talked about her fans, what’s next for her, and who she’s a total fangirl for. And of course we had to ask about the inspiration for her song, “Band Boy.”
It’s been a while since we’ve had any updates from one of our favorite artists, Robert Schwartzman. Most of you might know him as the lead singer of a band called Rooney, but we also love Robert’s solo ventures and collabs. His last album, “Double Capricorn,” came out in 2011, and he has been working on a new EP due out this fall! Robert will be going on tour to support the EP, and in a very Schwartzman-family way, has come up with a totally new way of touring.
Rather than rent out the same old venues, Robert will be playing small, intimate shows for 30 fans. In a party bus. The show will be solo & unplugged, and YOU get to pick the set list! Each show has voting open so you can decide which songs you get to hear, selecting from Rooney and Robert’s solo material. Each show will last 2 hours, have a Q&A, meet & greet, contests, and exclusive merch. Oh, and did we mention that you’d be on a party bus with Robert Schwartzman while he serenades you? Check out RobertSchwartzman.com for more info, and a download of his latest track, “Do What You Want.”

We’ve been to a lot of shows in the past week, and after a good concert a song will stick with you for days. Here are the songs we can’t get out of our heads after seeing them live. All of these artists are on tour now, so be sure to check out when they’re coming to your town!
1. Rixton – “Wait On Me“
We love the Ace of Base vibes of this track. (did we just age ourselves?) Rixton put on a very solid show at Irving Plaza, impressing us with their musicianship, stage presence, and fan boys. You can catch them on the Broken Heart Tour across the US this summer.
2. Jesse McCartney – “Punch Drunk Recreation“
If you saw JMAC in the Lifetime movie “Escaping Amish,” then you’ll recognize this track as the song his DJ character is playing the moment A.J. Michalka falls in love with him. And who wouldn’t with this beat? Check out the dates for the In Technicolor Tour here.
3. THE HEYDAZE – “Adderall“
There’s nothing we love more than a bad (good) pun. Especially in this cleverly crafted pop song by NYC’s THE HEYDAZE. See them on The In Technicolor Tour with JMAC through August 23rd!
4. Patent Pending – “Hey Mario” Patent Pending’s American Meltdown Tour just wrapped up, & they’ll be hitting the UK & Germany later this Fall. The band are unleashing the Mario & The Brick Breakers documentary soon which we’re sure will have us in stitches like their “Twilight” remake did in 2010 (and still does today). Make sure you have your copy of the Mario & The Brick Breakers “Greatest Hits EP” on iTunes US and iTunes UK now!
5. MKTO – “Forever Until Tomorrow“
We still can’t get over how great Tony Oller sounded, even when battling laryngitis. Surely it helped that MKTO has songs that are fun to sing along to, like this one. The American Dream Tour wraps up this weekend and they’ll be joining Demi Lovato on tour this Fall!
Bonus: Tiffany Houghton – “Band Boy”
Because this is our theme song, and she totally rocked on the American Dream Tour.
