After releasing her first single “I’m Gonna Love You” from her debut LP due out early next year, Tiffany Houghton is making sure you’re in the Christmas spirit with her brand new song “Hello Sailor!” just in time for Christmas! She name drops classic Christmas songs, rewrites “Jingle Bells” with her own cute lyrics, and mentions skipping the family Holiday party with her sailor. This song definitely made our Holiday playlist and it’ll stay there forever!
We love Tiffany’s clever lyrics and her poppy tunes make us want to dance around our living room and sing along. Listen to “Hello Sailor!” on SoundCloud below!
Be sure to pick up a copy of “Hello Sailor!” on iTunes or Amazon now!
Tiffany Houghton just released the music video for her brand new single “I’m Gonna Love You!” The video has a fun, mod look that goes perfectly with the upbeat track. We love Tiffany’s knack for writing catchy tunes that you can’t help but sing along to! Tiffany’s last single, “Catch Me If You Can,” went straight to #1 on the Radio Disney chart over the Summer. We think you’re gonna love this song just as much!
One of our first Artists To Watch, Tiffany Houghton, has been cooped up in the studio working on new music. Her new single is here just in time for the dog days of Summer! “Catch Me If You Can” premiered at #1 on Radio Disney and the video for the song is just as bright and bubbly as Tiffany’s music.
In the music video, she plays Barbie, and Tiffany is everything Barbie is. She’s an entrepreneur, she’s the CEO and head honcho of her own company, Instar Entertainment, and she writes her own music!
Watch the video for “Catch Me If You Can” below.
If you’re as obsessed with the track as we are, make sure you vote for Tiffany on Radio Disney!
Tiffany Houghton knows there’s no better place at Christmastime than NYC! She filmed the video for her new Holiday single, “Blame It On The Snow” at iconic spots throughout the city, like Rockefeller Center. If this doesn’t get you in the spirit, we’re not sure what will. Watch the video below!
You can pickup a copy of “Blame It On The Snow” on iTunes now or as part of Tiffany’s special Christmas edition of “This Is Not an EP.”
We caught up with Tiffany over the Summer during the American Dream Tour with MKTO. Watch our interview below and get to know more about Tiff!
Nashville based singer-songwriter Tiffany Houghton had a prime spot opening for MKTO on the American Dream Tour this summer, which just wrapped up in Chicago. We’re sure she gained quite a few new fans during the run! Her upbeat pop-country sound (we hear a little Shania Twain and Avril Lavigne), fun personality, and awesome onstage energy definitely got the crowd pumped. Tiffany is the perfect blend of sweet and sassy, just like her new single “The Best.”
We had the chance to sit down with Tiffany before the tour’s sold out NYC stop, and talked about her fans, what’s next for her, and who she’s a total fangirl for. And of course we had to ask about the inspiration for her song, “Band Boy.”
We caught the American Dream Tour last week when it hit Irving Plaza in NYC. It was an awesome lineup already, with Tiffany Houghton and Action Item opening for MKTO. But we were even more excited when an old favorite, Patent Pending, was added to the New York show!
We unfortunately only got to see the tail end of Patent Pending’s set, but their energetic live show and infectious energy had the entire crowd pumped up. Check out their latest project, Mario & The Brick Breakers.
Tiffany Houghton was up next! We discovered Tiffany when she followed us on Twitter one day, and we’re so glad she did! We instantly fell in love with her pop country sound and fun style. Her live performance did not disappoint. Tiffany is a perfect blend of sweet and sassy, just like her new single “The Best.” Of course our favorite moment of her set came when she sang “Band Boy,” complete with a cover of 5SOS’ “She Looks So Perfect.” She certainly won over all of the fan girls in the audience (she’s one of us!) Watch her performance below.
We were majorly impressed with MKTO, especially as Tony Oller has been dealing with laryngitis. (They had to reschedule their Philly stop!) He still sounded great – if he hadn’t tweeted about it, we would have had no idea! What a trooper. Tony and Malcolm did an outstanding cover of Nico & Vinz’s “Am I Wrong.”
They played most of their debut album, including tracks like “Heartbreak Holiday,” “Forever Until Tomorrow,” “Thank You,” and of course their summer hit “Classic.”
If you can make it to the American Dream Tour, go!!! There are a few shows left before the tour wraps up in Chicago next week. MKTO will also be back in NYC for the US Open Arthur Ashe Kids Day on August 23rd with Hunter Hayes & The Vamps! Get more info HERE!
Sometimes, there is just nothing like a good breakup song, no matter what you’re going through. They can help vent your anger, remind you to stay positive. Here are some of our favorite breakup songs.
1. Brandyn Burnette – “Thanks For Nothing”
Brandyn Burnette’s new single “Thanks For Nothing” shows one way to deal with a breakup. Be positive! That is, be positive that the person you just broke up with is, in Lauren Conrad’s words – “a sucky person!”
2. Hunter Hayes – “More Than I Should”
Hunter is so sweet that makes us wonder who broke his heart so badly that he penned one of the angriest breakup songs we’ve ever heard. You can feel the anger in this song from the first note to the end. The guitars come in, guns blazing, while Hunter sings “I found out the hard way, I loved you more than I should”. We always find ourselves feeling better after listening to this track!
3. Tiffany Houghton – “The Best”
Fresh music from Tiffany Houghton, this break up song is one of our new favorites. We can’t get over how upbeat and happy the music is while Tiffany sings about the jerk who broke her heart. Bless his heart, she’s just wishing him the best. HA!
4. Taylor Swift – “Picture To Burn”
Oldie but a goodie from the queen of writing the songs that are the soundtrack to our young lives. Taylor Swift knows how sucky guys can be, but as far as she’s concerned, they’re all just another picture to burn! Does anyone else miss Taylor’s country days?
5. Jonas Brothers – “What Do I Mean To You”
When we first heard this song last summer on tour, we had no idea that it would be the last time we’d ever see the brothers together as a band, playing music on tour and stuff. The chorus just punches you right in the gut – like when he said those fateful four words “we need to talk”. By the way – Kevin/Joe/Nick, WHAT DO WE MEAN TO YOU!!?
Bonus: 78 Violet (Aly & AJ) – “Potential Breakup Song” & Jonas Brothers “Move On”
You can’t talk about breakup songs without mentioning this iconic song by Aly & AJ and it’s companion song, “Move On” by Jonas Brothers. “Move On” was never recorded, and only performed once, at Bamboozle. But we’re sure it felt good for Joe to get that off of his chest! They both sure seem to have issues with their stuff. We hope you got your stuff back.
One of our favorite artists to watch, Tiffany Houghton, is currently on the American Dream Tour with MKTO and Action Item. She just released her latest single, “The Best.” And it’s one of the best breakup songs we’ve heard in a while. We love the play between the upbeat song and the lyrics. Listen to the track below!
If you’re headed to the American Dream Tour (check out the dates here) make sure you pickup a copy of the single on iTunes so you can sing along!
New Jersey power pop band Action Item released their much anticipated EP titled “Great Mission: Life” on Tuesday and it’s a good one! While it only has four songs, the EP is the culmination of a whole lot of hard work, a lot of love, and of course determination.
The lead single from the EP, “We’ll Be Fine”, has received positive reviews and we can only imagine that their opening slot on The American Dream Tour with MKTO and Tiffany Houghton will only bring more fans to the Action Item family.
Check out the track listing for “Great Mission: Life” below.
1. Footprints
2. We’ll Be Fine
3. The Start Of Something
4. Outsiders
Listen to Action Item’s new single “We’ll Be Fine” below!
We love the pop-country sound of rising singer-songwriter Tiffany Houghton, who was just added to MKTO’s American Dream Tour lineup! Tiffany has that fresh “early Taylor Swift” sound that we’ve been searching for. Armed with an acoustic guitar and girl-next-door charm, Tiffany’s catchy, well-crafted songs will have you singing along before the first chorus. Tiffany moved to Nashville at the age of 17, and has spent time songwriting and honing her craft. We’re sure you’ll be hearing a lot more from this girl in the future!
Watch the video for her new single, “17 Again,” below, which was inspired by one of our favorite movies,”Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”
Tiffany teamed up with ConcertBlogger.com for a performance of “Band Boy,” which she wrote about her weakness for boys in bands after getting home from a concert one night. This song is pretty much every fangirl’s anthem. We especially love the line “fangirls love band boys and band boys love fan girls!”
