Big Time Rush Drop New Single “Call It Like I See It”

NOTHING EVEN MATTERS BECAUSE BTR IS BACK!!!!! We’ve been waiting 8 long years to say this, and are beyond excited that Big Time Rush dropped their first new single, “Call It Like I See it” just ahead of their reunion concerts this week. They are ready to do it all over again and will be performing this week at the Q102 Jingle Ball in Philadelphia TONIGHT and then headlining their shows in Chicago on Wednesday and New York City on Saturday! It’s going to be a big night in Philly with their first live show in almost 8 years!

If you are lucky enough to be going to one of the shows, odds are you’ll be among the first to hear their new single live plus some old favorites. The band has been posting behind the scenes videos of them rehearsing dance moves to all of your old favorites, too. You know you’re going to party all night and have the time of your life!

We couldn’t help but notice the publishing credits on Spotify for the new song are listed as “Bought the Rights 2021.” It looks like Kendall, Logan, James, and Carlos will be calling it like they see it for ALL their new music!

Music sounds better with Big Time Rush back and we’re hoping they’re just getting started and news about their 4th album and a full tour are on the way. Until then, we’ll be playing the new track on loop 24/7, driving around with the windows down until we blow our speakers out.

Stream or pick up a copy of “Call It Like I See It” on your favorite platform and check out Big Time Rush’s upcoming tour dates here.

Artist To Watch: SZNS

Girl groups are back and we LOVE TO SEE IT! SZNS are bringing girl power to the front with their brand new single, “Behave.” Made up of four friends, Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn blend their unique vocals creating a fresh, new take on the classic 90s girl group sound.

SZNS new single, “Behave,” features the group’s conversational lyricism and wit, setting them apart from the crowd. When asked about the new single, the girls agreed “Behave is for every girl who’s been told to act like a lady: to sit up straight, be polite, to let the grown ups talk. Our entire lives we’ve been told that we’re ‘doing too much’ or acting ‘too intense’ – Behave is about being unapologetic, and taking up the space you deserve, despite what anyone else might say. If being demure and soft-spoken is good behavior, then I guess we never learned how to behave”.

Listen to “Behave” below!

SZNS expect to have an EP for each season, highlighting their wit, emanating power, and vulnerability, with tracks ranging from dance dropping beats to sultry ballads.

Kid Quill Premieres New single “90s Kids”

Kid Quill is back and launching 2021 with a bang with his new track, “90s kids.”  It’s the first new music he’s released in a while and we’re thrilled to have a new jam to blast.

“Too pop for the rap kids, too rap for the pop kids” is how the track opens, but we think Kid Quill has figured out the perfect balance between pop and rap.  We love his fun style and clever lyrics and can’t wait for even more new music from him this year.  Hope we’ll get to see him (virtually) perform again too.

EP Preview: “alright, whatever” – King Neptune

We all need a little something to brighten our days while we’re quarantined and staying safe at home. Long Island bred King Neptune are set to release their brand new EP “alright, whatever” on April 17th and that’s the best news we’ve heard in a while!

The EP is a small, 4 song collection and it packs a relatable punch.  King Neptune kick off the EP with a very pop hook on “backbone” that bounces along making you want to dance until “i don’t care” floats on and on, getting stuck in your head in the best way.  “No, that’s never gonna change” and “made me sick” sampling harmonies and gang vocals we’ve come to know and love from King Neptune.

If you’re in the mood for soaring vocals, choruses, and sick guitar riffs for days, “alright, whatever” is a small taste of what King Neptune are capable of and hopefully what the future holds!

Listen to “backbone” on Spotify now!

Stream the EP when it drops on Friday, April 17th on your favorite platform.

SecretFangirls.com Interview Kid Quill

You can usually tell how far an artist is going to make it based on the crowd’s reaction.  After seeing Kid Quill on his first headlining tour, we know he’s on his way to the top.  The crowd was hype from the minute he walked on the stage until the last encore, enthusiastically singing, jumping, and dancing along the entire show.  Kid Quill’s gone from “the opener,” on tour with artists like Bryce Vine, to headlining his own “Meet Me at Sunset” Tour across the US.

The tour was in support of his latest album, “Sunset Diner,” which  draws inspiration from music of the 70s and 80s combined with his modern hip-hop sound.

We caught up with Kid Quill before the last night of tour at Mercury Lounge in NYC.  Watch our interview and learn about his favorite part of touring, what’s coming next, and his go-to diner meal.
