MKTO have been quiet…too quiet….but that’s all changed! Malcolm Kelly and Tony Oller are back with a brand new single called “Marry Those Eyes.” They’ve released several tracks since returning from a two year hiatus and their newest track highlights their abilities to seamlessly craft addictive pop perfection and r&b charisma.
“The wonderful thing about creating is creating with other talented people from all over the world,” says Tony. “Dag Lundberg had this track and the second we heard it we loved it, and finished it up co-writing with Eman Kiriakou (Selena Gomez, Ne-Yo) and Evan Bogart (Beyoncé, Rihanna). We’re so excited for everyone to hear it! The song is a journey with hypnotic lyrics,” he adds.
Malcom Kelley and Tony Oller aka MKTO are back and they’re better than ever! The two best friends return after a two year hiatus right where they left off with a brand new single called “How Can I Forget.” They teamed up with longtime collaborators and co-writers Emanuel “Eman” Kiriakou [Selena Gomez, Ne-Yo] and Evan “Kidd” Bogart[Beyonce, Rihanna] and promise that more new music is on the way soon! “How Can I Forget” brings their classic R&B charisma, finger snaps, and a bright guitar riff marking a new chapter for MKTO.
When asked about the timing, “The timing was just right,” says Malcolm. “This was the moment. We had the records ready. We wanted to deliver for the fans who had been waiting.” Tony said, “We’re both just so humbled and thankful to the people who have supported our music. It’s only that sort of support that allows us to get back out there. There’s an energy between us that we never found anywhere else. We’re so excited to be back.”

It’s Friday the 13th and MKTO just dropped a perfect new track for the occasion, “Superstitious.” Malcolm and Tony are back with a funky track that will get you in the groove for today or really, any time you just want it to work out with your crush!
The guys have been away from music for a bit working on other projects but we’re glad they’re back! We’re crossing our fingers and using our good luck charms that this song turns out to be as big of a hit as we know it is. Listen to “Superstitious” below.
After teasing fans on social media with new music, MKTO finally dropped their new single – and we get TWO songs! “Hands Off My Heart/Places You Go” is a two part story . This is the first new music we’ve had from Malcolm Kelley and Tony Oller since last Summer’s “Bad Girls” EP (still our JAM). The duo have been hard at work in the studio writing and recording for their upcoming sophomore album. We can’t wait! We’re so thrilled for new music from the guys and are hoping for some tour dates soon! Listen to “Hands Off My Heart/Places You Go” now!
We’re off to the beach for a week and while we’ll never stop fangirling, we won’t be posting. Here are the songs we’ll be jamming to all week. Also, it’s Summer y’all! Go outside and enjoy!
1. Jake Miller – “Rumors”
We’d like to start some rumors with Jake! There isn’t one song we skip on this surprise EP, and we can probably sing the entire thing by heart already.
2. Austin Mahone – “Dirty Work”
Austin has been busy doing some dirty work for his Mahomies, and it’s worth it! Y’know this ain’t no 9-5, we’re going sundown to sunrise. Dirty Work!
3. North of Nine – “Better Off Together”
Jackson Guthy’s voice gets better every time we see North Of Nine live, and his band never fails to bring a grin to our faces during the set. We’ll ride or die with North Of Nine any day!!
4. Nathan Sykes – “Kiss Me Quick”
Nathan’s voice is what Bruno Mars would call “smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy!” This song will for sure be on full blast all Summer long.
5. MKTO – “Bad Girls”
We’re suckers for anything with a horn section and MKTO have that covered. They just dropped an EP with the same name.
Billboard just announced their inaugural “Hot 100 Fest” is coming to NYC this year! The festival, held at Jones Beach, will feature the biggest Billboard Hot 100 chart topping artists in one city over two days on three stages. This massive festival is one for the history books and we can’t wait! Billboard announced the line up after much anticipation and guessing games on their social media accounts. Special Pre-sale tickets for Citi Masterpass card holders using CitiWallet go on sale July 13th. General on sales begin July 16th at 10AM EDT.
Check out the line up below, with even more artists to be announced!
MKTO dropped a brand new song earlier this week and we didn’t have to wait very long for the premiere of their video! Malcolm and Tony have been hard at work on tour and writing new music since we saw them breakthrough last year with their infectious track “Classic.” The brand new single, “Bad Girls” has a solid beat and a funky horn section that we’ll be dancing to all Summer long! We love the music video, too. Watch what happens when MKTO get kidnapped by some bad girls … who end up being fangirls.
Philly based pop duo The Weekend Riot just released their first single called “25 Minutes.” The band is definitely one to watch in 2015 – earlier this year, they scored a prime spot opening for MKTO with Tiffany Houghton at TLA in Philadelphia, and just played a shows with Emblem 3 and The Hollywood Ending. The two friends and bandmates, Johnny Costa (vocals) and Bruce Wiegner (vocals and guitar) write infectious pop tunes with polished harmonies. We think their debut single sounds like Hot Chelle Rae meets MKTO.

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays – we dream about eating so much deliciousness that we pass out at the table, a la Seth Cohen. And one of our favorite traditions is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, which always features some of our favorite artists! Past lineups have included Big Time Rush, Cody Simpson, Jonas Brothers, Austin Mahone … it’s a right of passage for young artists.
The first round of performers were just announced, and lots of Secret Fangirls favorites are on the list! Make sure to tune into NBC at 9AM Thanksgiving morning to watch! Or, if you’re in NYC, you can lineup to watch the parade, which runs from the Upper West Side to Macy’s in Herald Square. Visit the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade website for more info on the route and a full list of performers! If you’re going, we suggest getting there early for a good spot (and dressing as warmly as possible!)
