There is always something special about a band of brothers! From Hanson to Jonas Brothers to AJR, some of the most talented acts of all time have been a trio of brothers. Saving Forever are the latest brotherly trio to emerge out of Chicago. Kavah, Khaden & Kye Harris, all between the ages of 13 and 16, caught the attention of L.A. Reid and are working on their debut EP on Epic Records. The band was so impressive that they were signed after one showcase!
Saving Forever taught themselves how to play instruments by covering classic rock songs in their living room. Their influences range from Jimi Hendrix to Fall Out Boy to DNCE, and you can hear them all in Saving Forever’s funky rock sound! The band was recently selected as Elvis Duran’s Artist of the Month and performed on the TODAY show in August.
We spoke with Saving Forever before their performance at Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day in NYC. They got the show off to a rocking start with the funky bass line in their new single, “Million Ways.” Watch our interview below and get to know Kavah, Khaden & Kye!

Forever In Your Mind has just blessed us with not one, but TWO new songs! Ricky, Emery and Liam had been hyping up the release of new music for a while and we are so thrilled it’s finally here! The new tracks, “Smooth” and “Missing,” have more of FIYM’s fun pop sound and smooth harmonies, and it’s just what we’ve been missing in our playlists. We’ll be having these on repeat while we wait for their new Disney Channel show to premiere and hopefully some tour dates! Listen to “Smooth” and Missing” now!
Sleep On It are on the verge of a break out and this is not a band you want to, pun intended, sleep on. The Chicago natives are heading out on tour with As It Is this Spring, bringing their explosive pop punk to a city near you. Drawing inspiration from the heavy hitters of yesteryear that are out doing 10 year tours, Sleep On It are updating everything you thought you knew about the genre.
Having recently signed with Equal Vision Records, the band are finding a new home next to all of your favorite bands. After forming in 2011 and going through several line up changes, Zech, TJ, Jake, AJ, and Luka are excited to share the trials and celebrations of being a pop punk band with new and old fans alike. Sleep On It even added a tab on their galactic themed website where you can email the band and tell them where you’re seeing them on tour. They just might answer you back! We love the personal touches and direct to fan interactions that the band is using to help make their fans feel like a part the touring life. Be sure to catch Sleep On It opening for UK fan favorites As It Is and ROAM this Spring! Check out the tour dates here and get your tickets if you haven’t yet.

Australia is showing the world that they’re more than just beautiful beaches filled with cute surfer dudes, kangaroos around every corner. The continent is home to talented artists like 5SOS, Keith Urban, and Flume. Drawing North are the latest musical export to come to the United States from Australia. Po, Drew and Jake blend fun new wave electronica sounds with an indie band’s work ethic.
Drawing North got their start writing pop demos in a garage, and quickly built a fanbase in their hometown of Canberra, Australia. They sold out their first ever headlining show and have toured across the continent, playing festivals like Vans Warped Tour Australia and Australia Celebrates live. Joel Madden of Good Charlotte showed his love for the band, and we can’t think of a better endorsement!
The band is ready to take the US by storm! Drawing North are about to release their brand new EP that has a new sound for the band with the same heartfelt lyrics fans have come to love from Drew, Po, and Jake. We got to sit down with the guys recently to chat about who they would fangirl over, their must haves on tour (dogs!), and their new single “Stay” that comes out on April 5th. Watch our interview and get to know your new favorite Aussie band!
Sign up here for the Drawing North newsletter and you will receive “Stay” for free, in your inbox before it gets released on April 5th!

Time for part 2 of The Fangirl Handbook! In part 1, we reviewed the proper concert etiquette. Now let’s discuss how to meet the band! Thanks to social media and companies like VIP Nation, it’s become easier than ever to meet your favorite celebs. Meeting your favorite band or celebrity is something you’ll remember forever – both the good and the bad. There are two scenarios to the meet and greet:
1. How You Think the Meet & Greet Will Go:
Your favorite band member is so taken by your beauty, wit, and that perfect outfit you planned that they spend hours talking to you as if no one else is in the room. You get to have a full, intelligent conversation with each member of the band, and then take the perfect meet and greet photo which you can instantly share.
2. What the Meet & Greet is Actually Like:
You are in a line with approximately 500 other people. You overhear a security guard complain that they are running behind. Venue staff are panicking because doors open in 45 minutes and they’ve got to corral thousands of screaming girls into the venue. Instructions are being yelled at you, usually some variation of “no touching, no cell phones, no cameras, no autographs” as you make your way towards that moment you’ve been dreaming of. You can finally see them in the distance! This is your chance! Based on how quickly the line is moving, you calculate you will have about 15 seconds, 20 if you’re lucky. Panic sets in. You’re next! What do you say? His eyes are more beautiful than you remember from the hi-res photos you found on Tumblr. You barely manage to get out a “hello” before you feel yourself being pushed between your least favorite boys. Security yells at you to turn around for your picture, and voila your moment is over. You didn’t even make it down the line to say hi to your favorite!! Six days go by, and you STILL don’t have that priceless meet and greet photo, which you’re sure by now is a total disaster.
We’ve been lucky enough to meet a few of our favorite bands before, here is some of our advice to make the most of it (for you and everyone else involved).
DOs and DON’Ts of Meeting the Band.
Talk to them! You might not get the chance again.
Ask for a picture if you can. A picture says 1000 words.
Have an idea of what you want to say in advance. Usually you will get just a couple of minutes (even seconds) and having something in mind keeps you from freezing up or worse rambling incoherently at them.
Give them a chance to talk too!
Thank them! They do not have to be standing around for hours taking pictures and meeting hundreds of people. Not everyone does.
Introduce yourself. It may be your FAVORITE BAND MEMBER OF ALL TIME OMG but they are people too. Think of meeting them like you would any other person. This helps with remaining calm.
Be nice to them. We shouldn’t have to say this, but you would be surprised.
Have your camera ready! You will have very limited time, so don’t waste any digging in your purse for your camera!
Be kind to other fans and help each other out! (Again, we shouldn’t have to say this). Remember, we’re all in this together!
Follow directions. If security says no hugging, then just don’t do it. They have rules for a reason, whether you like them or not. You don’t want to be that person that gets escorted out.
Scream in their face. Would you like a random stranger running up to you screaming in your face? No? Then don’t do it to them.
Scream as soon as they enter your line of vision. You are both taking time away from someone else, and scaring the band.
Touch them inappropriately. (Yes, we’ve seen this happen.) Just generally don’t touch the talent. As we were told on TRL however, the talent can (and will) do whatever they want.
Jump on them. They see you. They know you are excited. You don’t need to physically attack them to show this.
Ask for more than one photo. If your first photo turned out, there is no need to ask for a “selfie!”. Use the extra time to chat with them – you already have 1 photo, enjoy your brief time!
Twerk. Ever. Just stop. It’s not cute.
Say rude things to them. Don’t like his girlfriend? Keep it to yourself.
Bring embarrassing or inappropriate photos for them to sign, or bring up uncomfortable topics. This should be self explanatory. Don’t do it, it’s not funny or cute. It’s just plain rude.
Attack them before they’ve gotten out of the car/off stage/etc. Just calm down. They see you. They are more than happy to meet you if you are calm and nice, but will get scared if you suddenly jump on them and start twerking and asking for selfies.
Push/shove other fans out of the way, or use people’s heads as a tripod. Once the pushing starts, they will get scared and leave…as would any sane person. And you’re ruining the experience for someone else.
We hope this list of Do’s and Don’ts help prepare you for the next time you get the chance to see your favorite boy band on tour! Check out VIP Nation for upcoming tour info.
We’re pretty sure all of America developed a crush on Theo James, who plays the male lead in the “Divergent” series, after the film’s successful opening weekend. With his classic leading man good looks (we think he’s a cross between Paul Walker and James Franco), and the fact that he is British in real life, we’re sure legions of fangirls worldwide have a new poster boy, no matter what faction they’re in. But did you know beFOUR Theo James was cast as the super hot Dauntless mentor in “Divergent”, he was the lead singer of a band called Shere Khan? (yes, the name comes from The Jungle Book)
Watch Theo James perform an original song called “Skin” with his old band below!
Alright, Theo proved he can sing in the acoustic videos, but he can play the harmonica? As if that wasn’t enough, he also plays the piano and guitar?! *SWOON*
Click HERE to watch even more videos from Theo and Sherekhan.
He’s actually quite good! If only Theo would rejoin the music world and bless us with his beautiful voice… Hey!! We can dream, can’t we?!
