Australian pop punk band 5 Seconds Of Summer are set to release their “Amnesia EP” in the United States and Mexico on September 23rd. The second single off the hugely popular debut self titled album has been a big hit, and the guys even had the chance to perform “Amnesia” on the MTV Movie Awards this year! The Vamps Announce 2015 UK Arena Tour

The Vamps are certainly on a roll lately with the release of their collaborations with Demi Lovato and Shawn Mendes. Fresh off the Austin Mahone tour in the US, the British indie pop band just announced a spring headlining UK arena tour! Special guests, Union J will support the tour with more opening acts to be announced soon. Tickets go on sale Saturday 18 October so be sure to grab them early before they sell out! Patent Pending Release Full Mario & The Brick Breakers Documentary

Patent Pending released the entire Mario & The Brick Breakers documentary today and it was totally worth the wait. The full 30 minute video follows the rise and fall of Mario & The Brick Breakers – kind of like Spinal Tap except with more spray tan. The Long Island native band fully committed themselves to this project and we’ve got to commend them for walking around New York in the winter with nothing more than short sleeves on. We give this documentary an 11 out of 10! Watch it below and share the link with everyone you know.

Nick Jonas Releases New Single “Jealous”

Nick Jonas has been keeping busy since the Jonas Brothers broke up. He’s been in the studio writing new music for his solo launch – without The Administration this time! In between fashion week shows in NYC, Nick J made a few press stops to promote his latest single, “Jealous.”

The song was inspired by Nick’s jealous feelings when other guys look at his girlfriend, a former beauty-queen. Wonder if she ever gets jealous of all the fan girls looking at Nick? Maybe he should post less revealing photos on Instagram…

Nick & Knight Celebrate Album Release at Highline Ballroom

Backstreet Boys’ resident heartthrob and newlywed Nick Carter and New Kids On The Block’s Jordan Knight had so much fun on the NKOTBSB tour they decided to team up and keep the party going. Nick & Knight are teaming up for an album and tour this fall. The duo celebrated the release of their debut album with a party at Highline Ballroom in NYC.

Nick and Jordan performed quite a few songs from the album including “Switch”, “Halfway There” (with Jordan on piano) and “Deja Vu” which was co-written by Brandyn Burnette! They also took questions from the fans, revealing more about their upcoming tour. (Trust us, it sounds amazing!) Jonathan Knight came out to support his brother and even mingled with the crowd, taking selfies with everyone. Nick brought out his own laptop and did double-duty, showing off his DJ skills during the release party.

Nick and Jordan even previewed some choreography they’ve been working on for the tour! Watch a live performance of “Switch” below! (The track, one of our favorites on the album, was co-written by Bruno Mars)

They said they will play solo material for the Nick & Knight tour later this fall and topped the evening off with Jordan performing “Give It To You.” We are still fangirling over this, because this was our JAM in 1999, and we voted for it on “TRL” almost daily.

5SOS have been on a roll since their album debuted on the top of the charts in the US and they just announced their latest venture, something they’re calling “5SOS Derp Con 2014.” The band will be holding a worldwide competition for their fans and the lucky winners (plus one friend) get to fly to LA to hang out with the band before their massive headlining show at The Forum in November. The lucky fans get to represent their country and join in some seriously fun shenanigans with Mikey, Ashton, Luke, and Calum. The Strypes at the Music Hall of Williamsburg

We caught The Strypes show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, part of their mini-tour of the US this week in support of their “4 Track Mind” EP. It was a relentless onslaught of talent from start to finish. It’s hard to believe that all 4 members of the band, hailing from Cavan, Ireland, are still in their teens. The band got their start by playing in pubs around Ireland, where to get people’s attention, they learned to play loud, fast, good old fashioned rhythm and blues. Their influences include The Yardbirds, Bo Diddley, The Rolling Stones, and Dr. Feelgood.

The band proved that they were total masters of their instruments – Ross Farrelly (16) on harmonica & lead vocals; Josh McClorey (18) on lead guitar; Peter O’Hanlon (18) on bass; and Evan Walsh (17) on drums. As if that wasn’t enough, near the end of their set, everyone just switched instruments – Farrelly on guitar; McClorey on bass; and O’Hanlon on harmonica. O’Hanlon had an impressive harmonica solo that had everyone in awe. All their time spent winning over crowds has certainly paid off. The crowd was one of the most animated we’ve ever seen, and the band had everyone jumping and dancing along from start to finish.

We can’t say enough good things about The Strypes, and neither can Rolling Stone. If you ever have a chance to see them live, GO! They are incredibly gifted young performers, and if they are this good now they can only get better.
