While we’ve gone to tours just to see the first opener, nothing is as exciting as a solid tour lineup from start to finish. So we were thrilled when Andy Grammer announced that AJR and American Authors are joining him on tour this Summer! AJR’s Ryan Met has penned tracks for Andy, including “Back Home” from his latest album. Both AJR and Andy started their music careers by busking – AJR in New York, Andy in Los Angeles. You can see the influence in their performing styles – they sure know how to win over a crowd. We hope they’ll join forces for a song or two on stage.
As if this wasn’t enough awesome for one evening, American Authors will also be on the lineup. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 15th. Check out the tour dates below!

Sam Hunt has some great advice for going out. “It’s still early out in Cali baby don’t you wanna rally again?” and “It’s Saturday night and the city never sleeps baby why should we?” But what about those nights when you just want to stay in? Sam’s got you covered. “If you’re gonna be a homebody, we’re gonna have a house party.” After all, it don’t take but two to have a little soiree.
Sam just announced the next single off his debut album “Montevallo” will be “House Party!” Watch the video below for a little inspiration for your next soiree.

We love Becky G. We love Austin Mahone. So naturally, we love Becky G’s video for her new single “Lovin’ So Hard” featuring her (our) bae Austin Mahone! It’s basically all of the activities we plan on doing this Summer (beach, arcade, tacos, froyo, hanging with Austin, etc). Watch the video below!

After weeks of fan voting, the finalists for the Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star Competition were announced! The top 5 artists are Chris Lane, Kenzie Nimmo, Trevor Moran, Christina Grimmie and The Fooo Conspiracy. We can’t help but root for our own Artist To Watch Chris Lane – this is the first time that a country artist has made it to the top 5! Make sure to keep voting for your favorite by tweeting #RisingStar with the artist’s name or Twitter handle. You have until May 24th to vote! The winner gets to play at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. Visit the Macy’s iHeartRadio site for exclusive music and content from each of the finalists!

North of Nine just released the lyric video for “Better Off Together,” off their debut EP, “Alive.” Since making their debut at SXSW and in NYC earlier this year, the band has been busy hitting radio stations across the country in support of their EP. The video gives a glimpse into the band’s life on the road, and we love their handmade touches. Watch the video below!

One of our favorite Summer traditions is back for its 20th Anniversary season! The TODAY Show unveiled the lineup for it’s 2015 Toyota Concert Series today. The lineup includes a mix of pop, rock and country artists, with more artists to be announced. All concerts are free and open to the public, and take place outside the TODAY Show studios at Rockefeller Center in NYC.
FANGIRL TIPS: The concerts take place from 7am to 9am, although we suggest lining up quite a bit earlier to get a good spot! You’ll get to watch the artists’ early morning soundcheck, and hear around 3-4 songs during the live show. Sign up for the TODAY Show Concert Series Newsletter to be eligible to sign up for a Fan Pass to the show. A Fan Pass is awesome and lets you into the viewing area before the general public line! (You’ll still have to arrive no later than 6AM, but it’s so worth it.) Our thoughts on TODAY Show Concerts? Are you going to remember that Summer Friday you were well rested for work/school/etc? Or that time that Donnie Wahlberg serenaded you at 6AM?

Country singer Canaan Smith just announced he is releasing his debut album, “Bronco,” on June 23rd! The album release follows the success of his Top 20 single “Love You Like That” and his EP that came out in March. The album will include all 5 tracks from the EP, and more! The title track, “Brono,” is in honor of his brother who Canaan lost when he was young. Canaan does a touching tribute to him each night on tour during the song’s performance, giving the audience a “few moments of peace.”
We caught Canaan’s opening set on Dan + Shay’s “Where It All Began Tour” this spring and he blew us away with his talent and live show. Canaan is joining Dierks Bentley’s Sounds of Summer Tour, along with Kip Moore and Maddie and Tae. He’ll also be making a stop at the FarmBorough Festival in NYC, New York’s first country music fest.
Pre-order bundles are available now at CanaanSmith.com and include a signed album booklet! Stay tuned for the full tracklisting. Watch the video for “Love You Like That” below!
Few artists have had as much chart topping success as Mariah Carey. She ranks in second place in the most #1 singles of any artist, just behind The Beatles. She just announced her upcoming second full album of her 18 #1 hits, named “#1 to Infinity.” Here are our all time favorite Mariah #1s and music videos!
1. “Fantasy”
This video is basically our Summer outfit and activity goals.
2. “One Sweet Day” featuring Boyz II Men
Why aren’t there more boyband/pop star duets? We need an *NSYNC/Britney single. The closest we have is Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers “We Got The Party”
3. “Heartbreaker” featuring Jay-Z
Definitely one of the greatest music videos of the TRL era (RIP). We’d still vote for it today.
4. “Honey”
We love that this video is a mini Bond movie. They just don’t make music videos like this anymore!
