The Friday Five: Songs of the Week

Ever since Friday became the new world wide release date for music, our weekends got that much better!  We’ve been jamming a lot of new music this week but this week’s Friday Five are the songs that are quickly racking up play counts in our iTunes.

1. MAX – “Basement Party”

2. AJR – “I’m Not Famous”

3. Shiffley – “Cry”

4. The Stolen – “Can’t Get Enough”

5. Waterparks – “Crave”

The Friday Five: Say MAX OHHHH

MAX just dropped his debut album, “Hell’s Kitchen Angel,” and it’s one of the best we’ve heard in a while.  It’s one of those albums you’ll listen to the whole way through.  We love the big, theatrical sounds of MAX’s music, paired with his insane vocal range.  Here’s our MAX playlist to give you a preview and get your weekend off to a great start.  Be sure to pickup a copy of the album on iTunes now!

1. “Mug Shot”

2. “Gibberish”

3. “Wrong”

4. “Holla”

5. “Basement Party”

The Friday Five: Snapchat

Snapchat is one of those things that went from us not understanding why people used it to OMG we have to check it 10 times a day.  This is 1000% thanks to some of our favorite artists, who always post fun stories we don’t want to miss.  We love Brett Eldredge’s “Bedhead Jams,” and MAX’s multiple personalities.   And while he’s not a musician, Spencer Pratt’s snapchat game is on POINT.  His weekly reviews of tabloids are a must see. Snapchat is a strange world in and of itself but once you get the hang of it and start following the right people, it’s down right fun!  Here are some of our favorites.

1. Brett Elderidge (brettelderidge)

The Friday Five: Hannah Montana Turns 10

Today in daily reminders that you are old: “Hannah Montana” turned 10 yesterday.  The show premiered in March 2006, following an airing of “High School Musical.”  Sigh, those were the days.  Miley might have killed Hannah (R.I.P.), but thankfully, her music will live on forever.  And remember, life’s what you make it so let’s make it ROCK!

  1. “Rockstar”

2. “We Got The Party” ft. Jonas Brothers

3. “Nobody’s Perfect”

4. “I Got Nerve”

5. “Best Of Both Worlds”

The Friday Five: Internet Dogs

Let’s be real.  The best thing about the internet is when people share photos and videos of their pets.  We love that having an insta-famous dog is now an actual profession.  Here are some of our favorite dogs to follow on social media!

1. Daily Dougie – @dailydougie
Dougie is SO CUTE!  And good at internet.  We had a really hard time deciding what to post for him, just do yourself a favor and go through his entire Instagram feed.

3. Hamilton Pug – @hamiltonpug
Hamilton hangs out with all of the cool internet dogs.  Talk about #squadgoals

4. Itty Bitty the Griff – @ittystagram
Itty is ready for any Holiday.

5. Gary Fisher – @garyfisher
His mom, Carrie Fisher, brings Gary everywhere.

The Friday Five: Boyband Solo Projects

Nick Carter’s “All American” Tour is stopping in NYC this weekend, and obviously we’ll be there fangirling out.   As much as we love boybands, it’s also fun when they team up or go solo for other projects.  As long as they come back together (DO YOU HEAR US JT?)  Here are some of our favorite solo projects and duets from boyband members.  Basically, Jordan Knight should just team up with everyone.

1.Jordan Knight ft. Donnie Wahlberg – “Stingy”

2. Joey McIntyre – “I Love You Came Too Late”

3. Nick + Knight – “Paper”

4. Jordan Knight – “Give It To You”

5. Nick Carter – “19 in 99”
