Walk The Moon Announce Summer 2016 “Work This Body” Tour With Mister Wives

Walk The Moon have been teasing news for some time and finally they revealed that they will be hitting the road with MisterWives on the “Work This Body Tour” all Summer long!

The pop infused indie rock quartet exploded on the scene in 2015 with their smash single “Shut Up And Dance.”  Their latest single, “Work This Body,” is an ode to the saying “living well is the best revenge.” It’s the perfect anthem to chant when you set out to prove your naysayers wrong by working hard and succeeding – either in your fitness regime, passing that Honors Chemistry test, or getting that promotion you know you deserve.

Artist To Watch: Shiffley

We first saw Long Island’s own Shiffley over the Summer when they opened for our friends in Patent Pending.  They immediately won us over with their synth-driven pop-rock sound and their energetic onstage presence.  We were thrilled we got to see them again recently at Piano’s in NYC.  Their set is a blast from start to finish, including a rock version of Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love,” which we didn’t know we needed until now.  Their single “Cry” has some of the catchiest gang vocals we’ve ever heard (seriously, listen to it once and you’ll be humming it for days, in a good way).

In a few short years, Shiffley have made a name for themselves in the New York music scene, sharing the stage with not only Patent Pending, but also Twenty One Pilots and Plain White Ts.  Band mates Alex Ganes, Alex Jenks, Bryan Contreras, Shaune Killough, and Will Rosati have created the perfect blend of synth driven pop rock.  While you can certainly hear their influences from bands like The Killers, Shiffley have a unique sound that’s all their own.

Cole Swindell’s New Album “You Should Be Here” Due May 6th

Reigning ACM New Artist of the Year Cole Swindell just announced the release date for his much anticipated sophomore album.  “You Should Be Here” will be released on May 6th!  The album is named after Cole’s successful single of the same name, a touching song written in memory of his late father.  Watch the music video for “You Should Be Here” below and pickup a copy of the single on iTunes now!

Cole is joining Florida Georgia Line on the “Dig Your Roots” Tour all Summer long!  Stay tuned for full date and venue announcements.

“Grease: Live” is premiering this weekend with an all-star cast including Carlos PenaVega from BTR, Vanessa Hudgens, Keke Palmer, Carly Rae Jepsen and special guests DNCE and BoyzIIMen!

We are so excited to watch and sing along on Sunday night!  The cast is sure to dazzle audiences and bring “Grease” to a whole new generation.   Check out our Friday Five songs we can’t wait to see live!  Tune into FOX at 7pm on Sunday to watch it live!

The whole cast together singing this one will bring a tear to our eyes as we remember Vanessa Hudgen’s full cast finale from every HSM movie.

4. “You’re The One That I Want”
Probably the most iconic song from the movie.

5. “Summer Nights”

SWMRS Announce US Spring Headlining Tour

Bay Area surf – punk rockers SWMRS announced a Spring headlining tour around the United States featuring The Frights! This marks the bands first headlining tour ever and they’re going to be bringing their bubblegum infused punk rock debut album “Drive North” to a city near you. Tickets are on sale now so get them before the shows sell out!  Check out the dates below.

“Drive North”, due out February 12th, features the band’s breakout single “Figuring It Out” that’s captured the ears of music fans looking for that authentic throwback sound.  If CBGB’s were still operating in Bowery, SWMRS would have played there 3 nights in a row and torn the stage down every night.

Brand New & Modest Mouse Announce Co-Headlining Tour

The early 2000’s are alive and well because New York alt rock group Brand New and Washington based rock group Modest Mouse just announced a co-headlining tour!  The tour will see both bands closing the show, alternating every few nights with no openers leaving both bands plenty of time for full sets each.

This tour announcement comes amidst heavy rumors that Jesse Lacey and the rest of Brand New are working on a new album (not just officially releasing some leaked demos and tracks here and there as well as returning people’s dollar bills from 2006 in exchange for a lyric booklet.)

Modest Mouse have been hard at work since the smash hit “Float On”.  They released their 8th album, “Strangers To Ourselves” in 2015 and have promised to release what could be a part two very soon.

We could all use a little warming up right now, as we’ve been dreaming about being on the beach while we’re piled under a mountain of snow. As we’re sure you’ve heard by now, Winter Storm Jonas is going on tour across the East Coast this weekend, with stops in D.C, Philadelphia, NYC, and Boston. We thought the storm might breakup before it hit New York, but it looks like this reunion tour is coming full speed ahead. Here’s the perfect playlist for your weekend.
