While The CW’s “Hart of Dixie” hasn’t officially been canceled, the show’s creator and actors have already posted their goodbyes on social media, making it seem like this is the end. We’re going to miss this show, with it’s wonderful cast of characters, and the music. “Hart of Dixie” definitely helped contribute to our new found love of country music, with a soundtrack filled with everyone from Dierks Bentley to Thomas Rhett to Hunter Hayes, perfect for the show’s small-town Alabama setting. The show even brought in quite a few country guest stars during its run. Here are some of “Hart of Dixie’s” most memorable musical moments!
The “Hart of Dixie” finale airs tonight at 8pm on The CW.
1. Danielle Bradbery
When she released a track called “The Heart of Dixie,” it was pretty much a given that she’d show up in Bluebell.
2. Gloriana We’re still impressed with how Wade and Lemon got the band to perform at the Rammer Jammer.
3. Logan Mize The “Can’t Get Away From A Good Time” singer was a guest star on the show before signing with Sony last year.
4. Jamestown Revival Their appearance in last week’s episode was one of many moments during the show that had us Shazam-ing or Googling song lyrics to find out what song was playing.
5. George Tucker
We love that George Tucker, Renaissance Man, is heading to Nashville. If music management doesn’t work out, you can always sing! And hey Scott Porter, if you want to release a country album, we’d fully support that!
Country music has taken over the US – even in major cities like New York. And now it’s slowly making it’s way across the Atlantic. Hunter Hayes just announced dates for a UK tour this Spring! The album will feature a mix of hits from Hunter’s self-titled debut, “Encore,” and last year’s hit, “Storyline.” Listen to his newest single “Light Me Up” below!

Sam Hunt is certainly not one to follow the beaten path when it comes to his music, and his new video for “Take Your Time” is no exception. While we were expecting a video that mirrored the songs’ lyrics (i.e. Sam goes into a bar, meets a girl, sings to her, every girls’ dream, etc), Sam took an unexpected route with a video that takes on domestic violence. Watch the video, directed by Tim Mattia, below.
“Take Your Time” is Sam’s 2nd single off his debut album, “Montevallo,” and his 2nd straight go to to #1. Pickup a copy ofthe album on iTunes now! Sam will be joining Hunter Hayes and Lady Antebellum on the Wheels Up Tour all Summer long, after wrapping up his first headlining tour in April. Check out all of his upcoming tour dates here!

Thomas Rhett played a killer sold-out show at the Paramount in Huntington, NY over the weekend. It was one of those shows that you’ll always remember – everyone in the crowd could feel something special was happening. Thomas had already been having a great week: he made history when his single “Makes Me Wanna” hit #1 on the Country Airplay chart, making him only the second country artist to ever have 3 #1 hits from a debut album, and the first to do so in over 20 years.
When he played “Make Me Wanna,” just 4 songs into the set, the energy in the room went off the charts, as the already hyped up crowd dance and sang along to every word. It was so overwhelming that Thomas had to pause a couple of times to wipe away tears before he could continue (as did we). Which only egged the crowd on more, as everyone erupted into cheers and the usual chants of “USA! USA!.” It was a touching and telling moment, and we get chills just thinking about it. Ladies and gentlemen, Thomas Rhett has arrived.
Thomas kicked off the night with a newer track, “South Side,” encouraging the audience to shake their “south sides.” Thomas proved again and again during his set that he is indeed very good at shaking his south side. He’s mentioned wanting to bring soul and funk back into country music, and he’s certainly doing just that. Like most of country’s new artists at the moment, Thomas was influenced by a wide range of music, not just country. A cover of Lee Brice’s “Parking Lot Party,” (which Thomas co-wrote) included a medley of Weezer’s “Beverly Hills” and David Lee Murphy’s “Dust On The Bottle.” His intro music was Jason Derulo’s “Trumpets,” and he broke into a little of Justin Timberlake’s “Suit and Tie.” He ended his set with a cover of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ hit “Uptown Funk,” further showcasing his funky side.
Thomas has the unique ability to make every person in the room feel like they are a part of the show – pointing out fans in the front rows and the rafters, signing hats and taking selfies mid-song, and calling out to one fan in the audience who was standing there with his arms crossed. Boy, you can’t do that at at Thomas Rhett show. He got the surprise of his life later in the night when Thomas pulled him onstage during his cover of “Friends In Low Places,” handed him his guitar and encouraged him to sing, “play guitar,” and yes, shake his south side. After spotting a Birthday poster in the crowd, Thomas made sure to get the Birthday Girl’s name before leading a “Happy Birthday” singalong. He asked the girl if she was having a great time – we think it’s safe to say best Birthday, ever.
All in all, we went in to the show not knowing what to expect, just that we liked his album. And we walked out much bigger fans than before. We’re not sorry for partyin’ with Thomas on Saturday night.
Thomas Rhett is currently on tour with Florida Georgia Line and Frankie Ballard. Check out all of his upcoming tour dates HERE! And if you have the chance to see him, GO! He’ll be the one headlining Madison Square Garden one day.
