Frenchman Gael Monfils won his biggest title to date, the 500 series Citi Open in Washington, D.C.! Monfils had to battle the extreme heat (on-court temperatures exceeded 130 degrees) and the tough serving Ivo Karlovic in the final, saving 1 match point in the process. We hope Monfils can carry his momentum throughout the Summer!

Roger Federer Ends 2016 Season Early
World #3 Roger Federer announced today that he will be ending his 2016 season early in order to fully recover from his knee surgery earlier this year. He will miss the Olympics in Rio as well as the remainder of the season. Roger promises fans that he will come back stronger next year and reflects on his injury-free career thus far.
Nathan Sykes To Release “Unfinished Business” Album November 4th
It’s hard to believe it’s already been over a year since Nathan Sykes’ epic headlining show in NYC. (Read our recap here!) We’ve been eagerly waiting for an album announcement from Nathan ever since, and it’s finally here! Nathan’s debut solo album, “Unfinished Business,” will be released on November 4th! WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!!!

Tiffany Houghton Releases New Single “Catch Me If You Can”
One of our first Artists To Watch, Tiffany Houghton, has been cooped up in the studio working on new music. Her new single is here just in time for the dog days of Summer! “Catch Me If You Can” premiered at #1 on Radio Disney and the video for the song is just as bright and bubbly as Tiffany’s music.
In the music video, she plays Barbie, and Tiffany is everything Barbie is. She’s an entrepreneur, she’s the CEO and head honcho of her own company, Instar Entertainment, and she writes her own music!

Kane Brown To Headline Monster Energy Outbreak Tour This Fall
Country star Kane Brown is headlining the “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now” Tour, presented by Monster Energy Outbreak, this Fall! Kane is on tour now with Florida Georgia Line and Cole Swindell, an Outbreak Tour alum who was the first country artist to headline the the tour last year. This bodes well for Kane – the Outbreak tour carefully picks their artists, and other alumni have included Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore.

Davis Cup Semifinals Set
After a drama filled weekend, 4 teams advanced to the Davis Cup World Group semifinals: France, Argentina, Croatia and Great Britian. It was a shame for the home teams – all of the teams advancing were visitors. Croatia rallied from 0-2 down to take the tie against the US in 5. (We’re still not over it.) The semifinals are set to take place in September, just after the US Open. With #Merica out, we’ll be rooting for Team France. ALLEZ!
It’s The Greatest Time Of Year
The American Summer hardcourt season officially starts this week, with the Citi Open in DC. Lots of American players are in action, including top seed John Isner and #NextGen players Taylor Fritz and Francis Tiafoe. Tune into Tennis Channel to watch all the action! 5SOS Sell Out Madison Square Garden on “Sounds Live, Feels Live” World Tour
We can officially say “5SOS sold out MSG!!!” That’s a feat of epic proportions, especially for a band that hasn’t been around that long. It’s hard to believe that just two short years ago the guys were headlining the nearby Best Buy Theater, which holds about 2,000 people. Luke, Ashton, Calum, and Michael played every song we could have asked for on this tour and you could hear the entire arena singing every word!
The band played their new single, “Girls Talk Boys,” for the first time live at MSG. The track had just dropped the day of the show, but fans already knew all of the words and kept singing like they had been all night. The performance of the funky song saw lead singer Luke Hemmings jump on the piano for a bit – cue the swoons.
Drummer Ashton took the time to remind the crowd to always follow their dreams, saying he went from playing in his garage to playing in the legendary Madison Square Garden. He also said the crowd was the loudest he’d ever heard, despite having played many other shows.
Before going into the first verse of “Jet Black Heart” solo, Michael soaked up the applause from the crowd. Just when you thought he was going to keep going, the crowd just got louder and louder. It was one of the most energetic crowds we’ve ever seen at MSG (or anywhere for that matter!) We’re so proud of how far 5SOS have come so far and can’t wait for what’s next!

These guys know how to rock and definitely how to roll with the new track. Luke, Ashton, Calum, and Michael are so good, this song is totally different from everything on their new album, “Sounds Good, Feels Good” but it will have you dancing and grooving the whole time.

Artist To Watch: Young Guns
UK rock group Young Guns are getting some serious love in the US along with their homeland. This alternative band are in the midst of playing the famed Van’s Warped Tour this Summer after a busy 2015 on some US festivals as well opening for Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, and Black Stone Cherry.
Young Guns have a rocking sound reminiscent of AFI and 30 Seconds To Mars with a fresh twist for 2016. The band, comprised of Gustav Wood, John Taylor, Fraser Taylor, Simon Mitchell, and Ben Jolliffe are set to release their fourth studio album, “Echoes” on September 16th, 2016. They’re racking up spins and gaining new fans every day on the Van’s Warped Tour and we can’t wait to see what these Brits have in store for the rest of the year!
