Watch Nick Carter’s “19 in 99” Video

Nick Carter just dropped the music video for his brilliantly titled new single “19 in 99.”  Don’t we all wish we could go back to 1999?  Think of all the concerts and “TRL” tapings you could go to!  We can’t decide which Nick in the video is our favorite, although we might have to go with Backstreet Nick dressed in all white.  Look out for a familiar pizza delivery man in the video too.  We can’t wait to hear this song on Nick’s upcoming solo tour!  Check out all of the dates HERE!  Watch “19 in 99” below!

Dan + Shay Release “From The Ground Up”

After taking a (much needed) break to re-group and work on new music, Dan + Shay are back with a brand new single!   The duo posted a “be back soon” message just before the Holidays and returned earlier this week with some exciting news: new music!  Have we mentioned how much we’ve missed them?  The song got high praise from Warner Nashville President John Esposito (side note: we have seen Espo at shows rocking out and he is the bomb) and Scooter Braun, who called it a “game changer.”  Well, the wait is over and “From The Ground Up” is here!    WE HAVE NEW MUSIC FROM DAN + SHAY!!!  Watch the video below!

The track was co-written by Chris DeStefano (who has written many of our JAMS) and is the first track off of Dan + Shay’s upcoming sophomore release.  We had high hopes for this song – Dan + Shay’s “Where It All Began” is one of our favorite albums of all time – and it did not disappoint!

A friend of ours has described Dan + Shay as a country version of Backstreet Boys, and “From The Ground Up” certainly fits the bill.  The emotional power ballad is driven by the smooth harmonies and powerful vocals we’ve come to know and love from the duo.   Dan + Shay draw from both pop songwriting and a traditional country narrative.  We’re sure this song will be played at many upcoming weddings!

DREAMERS Drop “You Are Here” EP

Brooklyn indie pop trio DREAMERS just released a new EP, “You Are Here.”  The EP features their hit “Wolves (You Got Me)” and their current single, “Drugs.”  DREAMERS got a lot of attention for their self-released debut, and recently signed with Fairfax Recordings.  They are definitely an artist you need to look out for in 2016!   We love their dreamy pop-rock sound and the range of influences you can hear in their music.  Stream “You Are Here” on SoundCloud below!

The Friday Five: Super Bowl Halftime Shows

It’s Super Bowl time once again and while the ads are fun (remember the Tim Tebow one with the puppies?) the halftime show is what we’re all watching for…right?  Coldplay is set to perform this year, along with some special guests.   In honor of Sunday’s game, we’re throwing it back to our five favorite halftime shows!  Which reminds us:  how have Backstreet Boys not done a halftime show?   Can someone get on that for 2017?

1. *NSYNC, Britney Spears, & Aerosmith – 2001
THE GREATEST HALFTIME SHOW OF ALL TIME.

2. NKOTB – 1991
This one’s for the children.

3. Shania Twain & No Doubt – 2003
Not sure what the theme was here, but what’s not to like?  Shania Twain?  Good.  No Doubt?  Good.  Let’s go football fans!

4. Justin Timberlake & Janet Jackson – 2004
If they had just had *NSYNC perform again, that whole wardrobe malfunction wouldn’t have happened, just saying.

5. Beyonce & Destiny’s Child – 2013
Like JT briefly acknowledged *NSYNC at the VMAs in 2013, Beyonce brought back Destiny’s Child for a hot second at the halftime show the same year.
