Watch Hilary Duff’s “My Kind” Music Video

Hilary Duff is ready to take over your playlists this summer with her brand new song “My Kind.”  The synth heavy, Latin inspired track is perfect for those hot nights you just want to dance in the Summer rain.   The video follows Hilary from a songwriting session to dance rehearsal, which we can only hope is for an upcoming tour!

Watch the video for “My Kind” below.

Watch Hilary Duff’s Video for “Sparks”

Hilary Duff just released the music video for her new single, “Sparks!”  The video was inspired by the app Tinder, which Hilary has admitted to using herself.   Hilary’s recently dyed blue locks also make an appearance in the video, in fun choreographed scenes that throw us back to the glory days of TRL.  Watch the video below!

Hilary’s 5th studio album, “Breathe In.  Breathe Out.” will be out on June 16th.  You can pre-order a copy of the album now!   We can’t wait to hear more new music from Hilary – the album includes collaborations with Ed Sheeran, Tove Lo and more.

5. Canaan Smith – “Love You Like That”

Listen To Hilary Duff’s New Single “Sparks”

Hilary Duff is back in the spotlight starring in a new show, “Younger” with Sutton Foster, and with a brand new single called “Sparks!”   The track, co-written by Tove Lo, is an upbeat, danceable track that will have you singing and whistling along.  We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: welcome back, Hilary!  We can’t wait to hear more from her upcoming album!  She was just added as a performer at Boston’s Kiss Concert, so fingers crossed for more Summer concerts!

Listen to the new song below!

The Friday Five: Hilary Duff Songs

We’re so thrilled that Hilary Duff is back to both acting and music!  Her new show, “Younger,” premiered on TV Land last week, and it’s just as great as we’d hoped.   (We’re also  happy to see Sutton Foster back on TV!  RIP “Bunheads.”)  Hilary also has a new single, “Sparks,” coming out next week!  Here’s a playlist of some of our favorite Hilary Duff tracks in the meantime.

1. So Yesterday
Raise your hand if you looked everywhere for that “Everything is Bigger in Texas” shirt from the video.

2. Why Not
This song is actually really great to pump you up to do all sorts of things.  I mean, Why not take a crazy chance?  Why not do a crazy dance?

3. Stranger
From Hilary’s last studio album, “Dignity.”  This album didn’t get enough credit for how good it is!

4. All About You
We’re all about Hilary’s most recent single.

5. The Getaway
More like, here I go again singing this to myself at a red light!

Bonus: Chasing The Sun
Because this video is so accurate.

The Friday Five: Christmas Albums

It’s Black Friday, which means you no longer have to wonder if it’s socially acceptable to start listening to Christmas music.  It’s on.   When you’re tired of hearing Taylor Swift’s “Last Christmas” playing at Target/The Mall/Everywhere You Go, here are some of our favorite Christmas albums.

1. *NSYNC – “Home For Christmas”
Definitely the greatest boyband Christmas album of all time (We are still surprised Backstreet Boys never made one!)  Of course, it also has the best Christmas music video of all time for “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays.”

2. Hilary Duff – “Santa Clause Lane”
This video used to play on Disney Channel during every single commercial break.  Can you still do the Lil’ Romeo rap?  (We can.)

3. Music From “The O.C.” Mix 3: Have a Very Merry Chrismukkah”
Two of the most important things on “The O.C.” were music and Seth Cohen’s favorite holiday, Chrismukkah.   This soundtrack features original Holiday tracks from show favorites like Rooney, Jimmy Eat World, and The Raveonettes.

4. The Beach Boys – “The Beach Boys Christmas Album”
It’s hard to pick a favorite track off of this classic album, from their originals “Little Saint Nick” and “Merry Christmas, Baby” to their versions of Christmas standards.  We’ve been hearing these songs literally every year since birth, but we still aren’t tired of them.

5. Justin Bieber – “Under The Mistletoe”
We all love his single “Mistletoe,” and of course his remake of “All I Want for Christmas” with Mariah.  But our favorite is the beautiful acapella version of “Fa La La” featuring Boyz II Men.

New Hilary Duff Single “All About You!”

Have we mentioned how excited we are about Hilary Duff’s musical comeback?   As excited as Ms. Ungermeyer is about gelato.  That’s how excited.  We loved her first comeback song, “Chasing The Sun,”  and the amazing video to go along with it.  While it’s only been a couple of weeks since that track was released, Hilary already has a new single, “All About You!”  Listen to the track below!

It’s another classic Hilary Duff track – we found ourselves singing along the first time we heard it.  You can pickup a copy of “All About You” on iTunes now!    Her album is set to be released later this fall.

Hilary Duff Returns to Music With New Single “Chasing The Sun!”

Have we mentioned how excited we are for Hilary Duff’s musical comeback?  It took all of our willpower to not write this entire post in all caps.  That’s how excited.   We’ve been major fans of Hilary since her days on “Lizzie McGuire.”  While we totally understand her taking a break from music for a while (it’s been 7 years!), we were worried she’d said “So Yesterday” to the whole music thing.

Watch the video for her new single, “Chasing the Sun,” below!  The track was co-written by Colbie Caillat, and we hear she’s also been writing with Ed Sheeran.    The track is more reminiscent of Hilary’s “Metamorphosis” days than her last album, “Dignity.”   It’s a late entry, but this might be our new Song of the Summer.  We’re hoping that a tour will follow soon!

The video is classic Hilary, and reminds us of her ABC Family movie “Beauty in a Briefcase,” which if you haven’t watched please go to Netflix now and do so.  It’s basically the twenty-something “Lizzie McGuire.”   Luke from “The OC” is also in it, with a fake British accent.  And it’s amazing.
