Throwback Thursday: 2Be3

If you thought American boy bands were kind of ridiculous back in the day, you haven’t gone looking for 90s boy bands from Europe!  While they all have the same elements that shot Backstreet Boys and NKOTB to the top of our charts, European boy bands did it better…and with an accent!

Let’s focus on the French boy band, 2Be3.

The group of friends came together as 2Be3 in 1996, producing three studio albums and touring Europe until they disbanded in 2001.  They even starred in a television show on a national Francophone network called Pour être libre, or “To Be Free” which ran for 40 episodes. While the whole thing might be in French, its easy to tell how these three friends were superstars in their homeland.  Click here to watch an episode from the show. Too bad we didn’t know about this years ago…we would have moved to France just for them!!!

2Be3 did have one English-language single aptly titled “Excuse My French” and we can’t stop giggling at how ridiculous this all seems now but back in the 90s…the music and the clothes were a big deal!!

Is it just us, or does the one in the middle look like Channing Tatum a little bit?

Jesse McCartney: In Technicolor Part 1

We’ve been fans of Jesse McCartney and his beautiful soul since his days in Dream Street.  He took a short break from music since the release of Departure, but he’s back with a new EP: In Technicolor Part 1.   The EP includes “Back Together,” which was released over the summer while J Mac was on tour with the Backstreet Boys and has a fun Timberlake-esque vibe to it.

The EP starts with a spacey Drake – sounding intro aptly titled “In Technicolor (Part 1)” that compares finding ‘the one’ to having your black and white world shocked into what else – technicolor!
“Tie The Knot” puts the horns and the funky Timberlake vibe into full force as McCartney swings in wearing a tux (at least we imagine him in a tux) begging “C’mon girl let’s tie the knot!” He really knows how to win our hearts and you can bet we all still day dream about marrying J Mac!

Jesse says this four song EP is just a taste for what he has in store for his full length release. Finally, new J Mac music!!
Now, what do we have to do to get Summerland on Netflix?

In Technicolor Part 1 is available now on iTunes

Don’t forget to follow Jesse on Twitter and Instagram for all the latest updates!

Lance Bass Is “Walking On Air” on January 21

Get ready for some music from our favorite former NSYNC-er Lance Bass!

He shared the official cover art on his Instagram earlier today.   The single drops January 21 and features Anise K, Bella Blue and even Snoop Dogg (or is it Snoop Lion now?)

We are really excited to hear this song and hopefully more music from Lance really soon!  If he goes on tour, count us in for Ultimate VIP Packages!

Hart of Dixie Returns Tonight!

“The OC” is the greatest show of all time, so we were thrilled when we found out that Josh Schwartz & Rachel Bilson were teaming up again on “Hart of Dixie!”

If you haven’t been watching, you’re seriously missing out.   Everyone that lives in the charming town of Bluebell, Alabama, where the show takes place, is entertaining to watch and full of Southern charm.  It almost makes us want to pack up and move down south (even moreso in freezing January).  The show’s small town setting leads to lots of romantic rhombuses, secret affairs, and culture shock for native New Yorker Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson).  Bilson is just as hilarious and just plain awesome as Zoe as she was as Summer Roberts.

Of course, both she and co-star Jaime King (Lemon Vreeland) have enviable wardrobes: Zoe  the too-edgy-for-Bluebell-New Yorker (“Is it okay for a doctor to wear shorts?”) and true Southern Belle Lemon make us want to be both.

Check out the promo for tonight’s episode below, and watch tonight at 8pm on the CW!   Catchup on Netflix, The CW, or Hulu!

Say Hello To The PenaVegas!

Carlos Pena, 24, and Alexa Vega, 25, are officially off the market and married! The two said “I do” at the Grand Velas Resort in Mexico.

Carlexa (as they’re known to the fans) shared an intimate ceremony by the beach on January 4th, after a four-month engagement. The two shared photos from the wedding with US Weekly, on stands now!
Alexa looked stunning in an Eduardo Lucero dress. Carlos chose his three fellow band mates, Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, and James Maslow, as his best men.

Fangirl Movie Spotlight – Taking 5

What’s the worst that can happen when Alona Tal and Daniella Monet kidnap The Click Five and make them perform for their school?

Okay so the plot is a bit more complicated than just kidnapping the band but what fangirl DOESN’T dream of keeping their favorite band tied up in the basement until your favorite member falls in love with you?
Devon (Tal) and Gabby (Monet) kidnap the band 5 Leo Rise and force them to play a concert at their school to avoid being shunned to social siberia for till college. In the 91 minute tour de fangirl, Taking 5 takes you on a roller coaster ride and a look into what every fan girl dreams about.

Y’know that dream you keep having during English class where your favorite band comes to your mall and does a signing? It’s your turn and you walk right up to your favorite member and the words start slipping out. Before you know it, the two of you are having coffee and he invites you to watch his concert from backstage.

This is not that dream. That’s basically how every meet & greet goes. Except you would never get that much time to word vomit all over your favorite band.

If you need any more reasons to watch this fangirl masterpiece, Christy Carlson Romano and the dad from High School Musical is in it.
