Fall Out Boy Light Up Forest Hills Stadium With “So Much (For) Tour Dust 2023”

Fall Out Boy are back at the top of their game after an extended break away from the spotlight and have been traveling the country playing iconic venues like Fenway Park and Wrigley Field, the So Much (For) Tour Dust rolled into the legendary Forest Hills Stadium in Queens. The venue is in the former home of the US Open Tennis Championships, and still the site of the West Side Tennis Club. Bass player Pete Wentz, a huge tennis fan, even hit the clay courts on site before his set!

FOB are back and better than ever, re-signing with their old friends and original record label, Fueled By Ramen, and putting out one of the most solid records of their career back in March 2023, proving they deserve every ounce of love and respect they’ve earned over the years. Their set was a perfect mix of new and old songs, covering every beloved era of the band in a jam packed nearly 2-hour set.

Kicking off the night was FBR’s latest pop punk prodigy, Games We Play. Lead singer Emmyn came out with swagger and completed the look with Pit Viper sunglasses and a shirt with his own face on it. Never ones to take themselves too seriously, Games We Play poked fun at themselves with songs like “Get A Job” and “I Hope You’re Happy.”

Next up, Royal & The Serpent brought the energy up another 10 notches with the viral TikTok single “Overwhelmed” and an impressive cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” that even the parents in the crowd could get behind.

Bring Me The Horizon are arguably one of the best metalcore bands and they’re pouring their hearts out on stage every night to win over as many new fans as possible while keeping old fans in the palm of their hands.

BMTH frontman Oli Sykes struts around on stage casually floating between emitting guttural screams and belting out more radio friendly clean vocals on tracks like “LosT.”

Fall Out Boy have been together, on and off, for the better part of 20 years and despite that much time, Pete, Patrick, Andy and Joe are still finding new ways to enjoy themselves on stage and keep things fresh.

The band introduced a fun segment called “Magic 8 Ball” where they would ask the mystical vintage toy a question and it would determine what song they’d play that night. Forest Hills Stadium lucked out with the live debut of “I Am My Own Muse” from their latest album, “So Much (For) Stardust.”

That wasn’t the only surprise, Travie McCoy from Gym Class Heroes also joined Fall Out Boy on stage to sing “Stereo Hearts” and “Cupid’s Chokehold” before announcing that Gym Class Heroes are back together and plotting a comeback tour very soon!

Towards the end of the set, bassist Pete Wentz let the crowd know that the NYPD asked them to not use any more fire and that it was too much, to which Fall Out Boy launched directly into their 2013 smash hit, “Light ‘Em Up.” Seriously, it was some of the coolest stage production we have ever seen, with pyro, cryo, fireworks, bubbles, confetti and everything in between! Fall Out Boy know how to put on a SHOW.

Fall Out Boy just wrapped the North American leg of the “So Much (For) Tour Dust” in New Jersey, but they’re heading over to Japan for Summer Sonic and then over to Europe for the rest of 2023. Check out all of the tour dates here and make sure you grab tickets while you can!

MAX Releases “Holla” Video

MAX dropped the music video for his new single “Holla,” from his upcoming album “Hell’s Kitchen Angel,” due April 8th.   Seriously, this song is so good it makes us want to holla at everyone we know / people on the street to go check it out.   The video shows MAX getting a shocking new look from none other than Pete Wentz, as sort of an initiation to DCD2.  He later wins over the crowd at the fight club/punk rock club.  We’re sure he learned a thing or two about winning over a crowd when he opened for the “Boyz of Zummer” Tour with Fall Out Boy and Hoodie Allen last Summer.

If you get the chance to see MAX on tour, go! We caught MAX opening for R5 over the weekend and we can honestly say that it was one of the most fun opener sets we’ve seen in a really long time.

Watch the official video for “Holla” below.

Pre-order your copy of “Hell’s Kitchen Angel” on iTunes or Amazon and instantly get 3 tracks off the album.
