When Jake Miller started teasing a “huge announcement,” we were hoping for new music. And we were right! Jake is releasing the “Lion Heart” EP on November 4th on iTunes! You can also pickup the physical copy in stores on November 24th (just so you have something for your bae to sign next time he is in town). Stay tuned for details on the album cover & track listing! He posted this photo, too, which has nothing to do with the EP, but you can just enjoy.

The New York Mets couldn’t have picked a better night for the final show of their concert series. It was a perfect late September night that kicked off with hundreds of young dance and cheer squads from the tri-state area doing a fun routine to songs by Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande. Dance Cheer Night meant there were significantly more teenage girls than usual in the stadium – oh, and the fact that Austin Mahone was performing after the game! Between the cheerleaders and the fangirls in attendance, it’s safe to say that it was one of the loudest crowds Citi Field has ever seen (especially whenever Austin Mahone showed up on the big screen).
After the game (which the Mets ended up winning 2-1 in the 9th!), a stage was quickly rolled out behind 2nd base for the concert, which started just after 10:30pm. Austin performed a 12-song set, including an acoustic section that showcased his vocals and guitar playing. And we all know he can dance! The one man boy band showed off his smooth choreography to hits like “Banga Banga” and his latest, “Secret,” which sounds like a 2014 update of a 90s Backstreet Boys song (and is the Secret Fangirls theme song). Austin even invited 1 lucky fan on stage to serenade during “U.” We always knew he was a great dancer, but this was the first time we got to see his choreography up close, and we were majorly impressed.

We can’t wait to see who the Mets will have in the lineup for the 2015 concert series! Besides Austin, recent shows have included Boyz II Men and Third Eye Blind. It’s a fun way to see your favorite artist, and to spend a perfect summer evening with some baseball, music and BBQ (or Shake Shack, or a burger…the food options at Citi Field are endless).

Due October 14th – Pre-Order We keep talking about the awesome videos Hoodie has released to go along with the album, like his latest for “Act My Age.” He’s also a perfect example of an independent artist who is great at giving fans what they want, and is slowly building up to the album release with more content, contests and interactive ideas (like inviting fans to leave voicemails which could end up on the album)
3. Sam Hunt – “Montevallo”
Due October 27th
We can’t say enough good things about Sam Hunt. He is definitely THE country artist to watch right now. His single “Leave The Night On” recently went gold, and the “X2C” EP has been holding place in the Top 40 chart since its release in August.
4. Taylor Swift – “1989”
Due October 27th – Pre-Order
We’ll just have to shake off the fact that Taylor isn’t making country music anymore, but will definitely be giving this album a chance as we’re curious to see what she will come up with!
5. Nick Jonas – “Nick Jonas”
Due November 11th
The Jonas Brothers supposedly split over “musical differences” last year. Now we can finally see what direction Nick was hoping to take the band (hint: it’s nothing like the Administration..) Joe, we hope you’re next. (More “Love Slayer”?)
NYC’s THE HEYDAZE just released their brand new song “Don Juan!” The track explores the lifestyle of the legendary stud. While THE HEYDAZE haven’t been around for that long (their first show as a band was back in April), they’ve already proven themselves to be masters of crafting catchy, playful tunes, with a penchant for lyrical puns. Just like all of their songs, the melody gets stuck in your head and you find yourself singing it at the most inopportune times. But you keep playing it again because it’s just that good!

Austin “the one-man-boy-band” Mahone just released the video for “Secret,” off his debut EP “The Secret.” In case you missed Austin on tour this summer, or want to re-live it, the video gives a peek at Austin’s live show. “Secret” is one of our favorite Austin tracks – we love the 90s vibe of the song, complete with a slow breakdown and a hint of Britney Spears’ “Stronger.” And Austin totally knows what he’s doing: as he recently told Billboard about the EP, “the style I was going for was more of that *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys vibe, ’cause I knew a lot of the older girls like that.” Excellent plan, Austin.

Canadian Vine sensation turned pop star Shawn Mendes just announced his very first headlining tour! He’s been conquering the music world with his vocal abilities and the connection he has with his fans, and just wrapped up a summer tour with Austin Mahone.
We’ll admit Shawn is using the word “tour” very loosely for this short three date outing, but we’re very excited to hear his new music. Shawn’s debut EP shot straight to the #1 spot on the iTunes charts within hours of its release. He will also be playing new music at each show, as he is working on his upcoming debut album.
