The Friday Five: Christmas Playlist

If you, like us, were already sick of hearing Taylor Swift’s version of “Last Christmas” by Noon on Black Friday, here are some Holiday jams that we never get sick of!  (Really, let’s just keep *NSYNC’s “Home For Christmas” album on repeat for the next 3 weeks)

1. “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” by *NSYNC

2. “Merry Christmas Baby” by Hunter Hayes

3. “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” by Dan + Shay

4. “Fa La La” by Justin Bieber featuring Boyz II Men

5. “Beautiful Christmas” by Big Time Rush

BONUS: “What Christmas Means To Me” by Hanson

Dan + Shay Hope You “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”

Country duo Dan + Shay just released a Holiday gift for their fans, as a thank you for all of their support in 2014!  It’s been quite a successful year for the duo, who released their debut album back in April.  Dan + Shay are currently on tour with Hunter Hayes, wrapping up at the end of the year.   Their album, “Where It All Began,” is one of our favorites of this year, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for the duo.  Not only are they talented, they are also kind and generous to their fans, and genuinely passionate about what they do, on and off stage.  We can’t thank them enough.

K104.7’s Not So Silent Night With Jake Miller, Nick Jonas & Jesse McCartney

Jingle Ball concerts are one of our favorite Holiday traditions.  What better way to ring in the season than an evening with some of your favorite artists?  New York’s K104.7 just announced the lineup for their “Not So Silent Night” bash on December 13th.  Secret Fangirl favorites Jake Miller, Nick Jonas, and Jesse McCartney will all be performing, along with headliners The Script and Fifth Harmony.

Cody Simpson – “Please Come Home for Christmas”

Just in time for Christmas, Cody Simpson released a video for his version of “Please Come Home for Christmas.”  Filmed in Melbourne, Australia, the city gives a beautiful backdrop of twinkling lights.  The video also showcases Cody’s talents on the guitar.

Cody may be at home in Australia for Christmas, but he is heading out on an acoustic tour in January, with dates throughout the US and Canada.   The tour kicks off on January 10th in Santa Ana, CA with special guests Plug In Stereo, and wraps up January 31st in Denver.

We first caught Cody opening for Big Time Rush’s Summer Tour, and are excited to see even more from him in 2014!

12 Days of Christmas Music

It’s just 12 days until Christmas, which means every radio station, department store, and Duane Reade have been playing the same 5 holiday songs since November.   Need a break from Taylor Swift’s version of “Last Christmas”?  (we love this song too .. the first 5 times we hear it).  Here are some of our favorite holiday songs.

NSYNC – Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays (aka the greatest holiday video of all time)

Death Cab – Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

Mariah Carey – All I Want For Christmas Is You (Because really, can anyone get sick of this song?)

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays from Midnight Red

Formed in 2009, Midnight Red have been making a splash in the world of boy bands. Not only are they super cute, they harken back to traditional boy bands with *gasp* CHOREOGRAPHED DANCE MOVES! And boy, are they good at dancing, too!

Can’t get enough Midnight Red? Catch them opening for Austin Mahone on the MTV Artist to Watch Tour in 2014.

Midnight Red recently released their cover of *NSYNC’s “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” which includes footie pajamas, a dancing Santa Claus, and warm holiday wishes from the boys.

Don’t forget to check out their official video for “Take Me Home”
