The Friday Five: FarmBorough Festival Day 1 Preview

Only two more weeks until NYC Goes Country!  FarmBorough Festival, the city’s first ever country music festival is coming to Randall’s Island June 26-28, with an outstanding lineup of exciting new faces and familiar acts alike. We’ll be previewing the schedule for each day of the Festival leading up to the event.  Up first: Day 1, Friday, June 26th!

1. Canaan Smith – Main Stage 3:00pm
Canaan is kicking the festival off, just days after the release of his debut album “Bronco.”  We are so excited to see Canaan again and finally be able to sing along to every word (guitar solos included!) You don’t want to miss this set.

2. The Cadillac Three – Next From Nashville Stage 4:55pm
These guys know how to ROCK and will definitely get the party started.  For a band that only has three members, The Cadillac Three sure know how to cause a raucous!

3. Maddie & Tae – Main Stage 5:00pm
Maddie & Tae are two tomatoes that certainly turned country music head over heels with their single “Girl In A Country Song” earlier this year.  This duo is poised to fly right to the top of everyone’s “Must See” lists when this festival wraps up!

4. Chris Stapleton – Next From Nashville Stage 5:50pm
Chris has written some of the biggest recent hits to come out of Nashville and his soulful debut album is an instant classic!  Chris gets rave reviews for his live performance as well, and we can’t wait to check it out.

5. Dierks Bentley – Main Stage 9:20pm
5-1-5-0 we’re going to go loco for Dierks’ headlining set!  Country People’s Hottest Guy In Country is sure to heat up the stage as the sun sets on Farmborough’s inaugural evening.  We can’t wait for the sure to be epic festival wide sing-along to “Drunk On A Plane.”

Tickets for the Festival are on sale now!

Kacey Musgraves Debuts “Biscuits” Video

Kacey is on a roll and her brand new video for “Biscuits” is nothing short of a warm fluffy appetizer for her brand new album “Pageant Material” out on June 23rd!  As usual, we love Kacey’s style (check out her band’s light up suits!)  The video is a throwback to old school variety shows, or as Kacey describes it “Hee Haw meets Pee-wee’s Playhouse meets Wes Anderson.”  Watch it below!

A Thousand Horses Premiere “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial” Video

The band with the best hair in country music released their debut album, “Southernality,” today!   A Thousand Horses are the perfect blend of true Southern roots and rock and roll.  Their album was one of our most anticipated of the year, and we’ll be rocking out to it all Summer long.  Our favorite tracks  include “Travellin’ Man” and “Trailer Trashed.”  The band also dropped the music video for their next single, “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial” today.  Watch it below!

Pickup a copy of “Southernality” on iTunes or Amazon now!  You can catch A Thousand Horses on tour with Darius Rucker all Summer long.  They’ll also be headlining at the Emporium in Long Island, NY in July!

Hunter Hayes Releases “Where It All Begins” Featuring Tour Mates Lady Antebellum

We’re still recovering from the fangirl-fest that is the Wheels Up Tour!  One of the highlights of the show is when opening act Hunter Hayes joins Lady Antebellum on stage for a couple of tracks.  They took the collaboration one step further and are featured on Hunter’s new digital track, “Where It All Begins!”  We’d like to make a request they add this to the setlist for the next leg of the Wheels Up Tour!  (We’re going again, obvi).  The track comes just a couple of weeks after Hunter dropped his new single, “21,” and is the first of several digital tracks he will be dropping this Summer.  Listen below!

Visit LadyAntebellum.com and HunterHayes.com to check out their upcoming tour dates!  The Wheels Up Tour is one Summer show you don’t want to miss!

Watch Thomas Rhett’s “Crash And Burn” Video!

Thomas Rhett just released the music video for his funky new single “Crash and Burn.”  The video shows Thomas trying to win back a girl, who somehow isn’t impressed by his sweet car, jacket and dance moves, or by him standing outside her window with a boombox in the rain – “Say Anything”-style.  We love the contrast between the songs lyrics and its upbeat tempo. You can’t help but dance along – even poor, heartbroken music video Thomas can’t help but smile!  Watch the video below.

Michael Ray Releases “Kiss You In The Morning” Video

Country singer Michael Ray just released the music video for his hit single “Kiss You In The Morning.”  Michael returned to his hometown of Eustis, Florida to film the video, holding an open call for fans, friends, neighbors and family to join in on the fun.  Eustis re-named a street “Michael Ray Avenue” for the day of the shoot, which was one big block party.  Shout out to the man in the striped tank top for bringing his A-game.  Watch the video below!

Watch Dan + Shay’s Lyric Video for “Nothin’ Like You”

Dan + Shay just surprised us all and dropped the lyric video for their latest single “Nothin’ Like You!”   It’s a perfect singalong song, so watch the video to learn the words and start belting it out!  (The line “and you’re stealing my heart like a gypsy” is a personal favorite for singing at the top of our lungs)
