In true NKOTB fashion, the guys just dropped some HUGE surpise news on us that got us really excited for summertime (as if we weren’t already!) Danny, Donnie, Jordan, Jonathan, and Joey announced that they’ll be headlining a very special show at the brand new Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk this August just before Mixtape Festival. While they had insisted Mixtape would be their only show of the year, they couldn’t resist throwing a “warmup” gig in NYC a couple of days before. Of course we’re going to both shows!
Like any true Blockhead knows, Coney Island is a special place for NKOTB – it’s where they filmed their first music video for “Please Don’t Go Girl.” It’s also the home of Wahlburgers, with its rooftop overlooking the Wonder Wheel and the rest of the iconic beach park.
Be sure to get your tickets because this will sell out fast and maybe you’ll get to ride a roller coaster with your favorite New Kid just like in all of your fangirl dreams! Pre-sales for Block Nation members start on Tuesday, June 7th at 10am. General tickets are on sale Friday, June 10th! Beach + Boy Band + Burgers + Roller Coasters .. what more could you ask for in a Summer concert? And as you know, NKOTB always BRING. IT.
We all know the greatest era for music was the 90s and early 00s (if we’re getting specific, 1999-2000). So we were thrilled to hear about a new tour, the MY2K Tour, celebrating the music of Y2K! The tour is hitting venues across the US this Summer, with some of your favorite artists from that era. 98 Degrees are out on their second major tour since their reunion in 2012, along with O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, and Dream. The MY2K Tour includes a stop at the Mixtape Festival in Hershey, PA, reuniting 98 Degrees with their Package Tour mates NKOTB and Boyz II Men.
Tickets and VIP packages go on sale Friday April 29th at 10am local time and we can say with confidence, we know what you’re doing this summer! Click HERE for more info about the MY2K Tour.

We’ve been fangirling hard waiting for the premiere “Dead 7,” the zombie movie written by Nick Carter, starring members of *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, O-Town and 98 Degrees. And it just got even better. Nick, Howie Dorough, and AJ McLean of Backstreet Boys; Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone of *NSYNC; Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees; and Erik-Michael Estrada from O-Town joined forces to record a song for the soundtrack.
The movie premieres this Friday, April 1st at 8pm on SyFy, from the people who brought you “Sharknado.” AKA this is already the best movie of 2016 and you better be tuned in on Friday night. Listen to “In The End” from the movie below!
Download the track for free here! We can only hope this is just the first time that these boybands will join forces!
Be sure to follow Secret Fangirls on Twitter for updates and live tweets from the movie!
Nick Carter’s “All American” Tour hit the Playstation Theatre in NYC over the weekend. We expected Nick to give 300% on tour, as he does with everything he does, but he was even better than we expected. The show was divided into three parts with a distinct style – rock star Nick played guitar to start off the night, he broke it down for a more acoustic set wearing a fedora, and ended the night showing off his dance moves. The show gave Nick a chance to show off his range from boyband pop to rock and back again.
Nick managed to find the perfect balance between his solo material and Backstreet Boys songs. He also threw in “One More Time,” from his project with Jordan Knight of NKOTB. While some solo artists refuse to even acknowledge the group or band they came from, Nick fully embraced his boyband heritage. He understands that while the crowd is definitely there to support and hear Nick’s new music, odds are they are BSB fans as well. This made for an insanely fun, high energy show as he surprised us with a mix of songs from all of his solo projects and a mix of Backstreet songs. We all got to party like we were “19 in 99!”
Brian Littrell made a surprise appearance on stage, eliciting lots of 1999 level screaming from the audience. He joined Nick for “I Want It That Way” and “Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely.” Honestly, the show could have ended right there, but the night was just getting started. Brian also let it slip that the guys already have six songs recorded for the next Backstreet Boys album! They’re set to put the finishing touches on it very, very soon.
Nick got to show off his moves from “Dancing With The Stars,” breaking out into a salsa number after “The Call.” He ended the night with a series of songs that showed of his lighter side – and Nick is clearly not afraid of make fun of himself or have a good time with his fans. He’s no stranger to being in front of large crowds but that’s really where Nick Carter shines – on a stage with his fans singing along with him!

Nick Carter’s “All American” Tour is stopping in NYC this weekend, and obviously we’ll be there fangirling out. As much as we love boybands, it’s also fun when they team up or go solo for other projects. As long as they come back together (DO YOU HEAR US JT?) Here are some of our favorite solo projects and duets from boyband members. Basically, Jordan Knight should just team up with everyone.
Nick Carter just dropped the music video for his brilliantly titled new single “19 in 99.” Don’t we all wish we could go back to 1999? Think of all the concerts and “TRL” tapings you could go to! We can’t decide which Nick in the video is our favorite, although we might have to go with Backstreet Nick dressed in all white. Look out for a familiar pizza delivery man in the video too. We can’t wait to hear this song on Nick’s upcoming solo tour! Check out all of the dates HERE! Watch “19 in 99” below!

It’s Super Bowl time once again and while the ads are fun (remember the Tim Tebow one with the puppies?) the halftime show is what we’re all watching for…right? Coldplay is set to perform this year, along with some special guests. In honor of Sunday’s game, we’re throwing it back to our five favorite halftime shows! Which reminds us: how have Backstreet Boys not done a halftime show? Can someone get on that for 2017?
1. *NSYNC, Britney Spears, & Aerosmith – 2001
THE GREATEST HALFTIME SHOW OF ALL TIME.
2. NKOTB – 1991
This one’s for the children.
3. Shania Twain & No Doubt – 2003 Not sure what the theme was here, but what’s not to like? Shania Twain? Good. No Doubt? Good. Let’s go football fans!
4. Justin Timberlake & Janet Jackson – 2004
If they had just had *NSYNC perform again, that whole wardrobe malfunction wouldn’t have happened, just saying.
5. Beyonce & Destiny’s Child – 2013
Like JT briefly acknowledged *NSYNC at the VMAs in 2013, Beyonce brought back Destiny’s Child for a hot second at the halftime show the same year.
We could all use a little warming up right now, as we’ve been dreaming about being on the beach while we’re piled under a mountain of snow. How about being on the beach with the New Kids on the Block? Sounds like a perfect fangirl getaway to us! NKOTB just announced their 8th annual cruise for 2016 is taking off from New Orleans and heading down to Cozumel, Mexico in October. Pre-sales start this Wednesday, January 27th for Block Nation members, so we hope like any good fangirl you’ve been putting money in your New Kids cruise fund! Head over to NKOTBCruise.com for all of the info!

If you’ve seen “Rock This Boat,” you know what an epic adventure/party the cruise is. And you never know what could happen on the boat! Like that time there was a wedding and Joey walked the bride down the aisle and Donnie officiated (literal fangirl tears every time Joey appears in that captain’s outfit help)
We’re always searching for new jams to add to our Christmas playlists, and boyband Forever In Your Mind just wrapped up and delivered a new song and video! “Wrapped Up For Christmas” will get you in the Holiday spirit. Watch the video below!
