Austin Mahone Premieres “MMM Yeah” Music Video

Fresh off his first headlining tour, Austin Mahone premiered the music video for his latest single “MMM Yeah,” featuring Pitbull.  We’re a little bummed that there is less choreography than usual (because the kid can DANCE!) but it’s a great video nonetheless.  Check it out below!

And does the video set remind anyone else of *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye?”  Or is that just our uncanny ability to relate anything to *NSYNC?   We’re calling it another Mahone boy band throwback either way.  Keep it up!

Be sure to follow Austin on Twitter and Facebook for more updates.  And follow *NSYNC and Secret Fangirls while you’re at it!

Join the Hunter Hayes 24-Hour Road Race To End Child Hunger

Just a day after Hunter Hayes revealed the May 6th release date for his new album, “Storyline,” he announced he’ll be having a 24-hour concert marathon to celebrate!

On May 9th and 10th 2014, Hunter will be playing 10 shows in 24-hours, in an attempt to break into the Guinness Book of World Records for most concerts played in a day!   Even better, the shows are all taking place in the country-music deprived Northeast!   That’s right NYC:  after rocking a sold-out show at Webster Hall last year in celebration of the release of “Encore,” and drawing a huge crowd a few days later at Good Morning America, Hunter is FINALLY back in New York!   He’ll be hitting venues all over the tri-state area, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.

The 24-Hour Road Race appropriately kicks off with an appearance on Good Morning America, and wraps up in Philadelphia the next morning. We’ve never been to a concert that started at 2am before, but this sounds like a fun way to see Hunter and be a part of his history making celebration!  Regular admission tickets on sale now are just $10!

Austin Mahone at Hammerstein Ballroom – MTV Artist To Watch Tour

We are huge fans of Austin Mahone (we are normally against fan names, but will make an exception here and say yes, we are MAHOMIES!)  and were so excited to finally see him on MTV’s Artist to Watch Tour!   The tour was announced last July, and originally scheduled for October, but was unfortunately rescheduled when Austin fell ill.  The tour hit NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom on March 5th with openers W3 the Future, Midnight Red, and Becky G.

Austin Mahone, the one man boy band, had an energetic set that opened with his single “Banga Banga.”  We love that he uses the old-school choreography from his music videos in his stage performances as well.  (Makes it even easier to dance along!)   It was our first time hearing his song “Till I Find You,” but he had us hooked right away!  It sounds like something *NSYNC could have recorded back in the day.  (Mahone has mentioned his debut album was inspired by the music of 90s boy bands like *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys.  Respect.)

He took a break from the dancing to do an acoustic set, where the multi-talented Mahone played guitar, and sang a cover of Jesse McCartney’s “Beautiful Soul.”  He also invited one lucky fan on stage to serenade during “U!”

We’ve been impatiently waiting for the release of Austin’s album – there is still no set date!  But we hope that an announcement and a summer tour are in the works!  We can’t wait to see him again.  In the meantime, we’ll be working on our “What About Love” dance moves.

Stay tuned for more updates and be sure to follow Austin on Twitter and Instagram!

Jackson Guthy Releases Lyric Video for “Young and Single”

We first caught Jackson Guthy on the Summer Break Tour with Big Time Rush and Victoria Justice, where he won us over with his original songs “Pretty Lady,” “Brothers and Sisters,” and his mash-up cover, “Feel So Lucky.”   He’s a talented performer and piano player, who started playing at the age of 5.

He just released a lyric video for his new single, “Young and Single,” which will be available on iTunes March 31st, 2014.  Check it out below!

Jackson is currently on tour with Emblem 3 and will join 5SOS on their first North American headlining tour in April.  Check out the dates here!

And relive the Summer Break Tour with his cover mash-up of “Feel So Close” and “Get Lucky!”

Justin Timberlake Performs “Gone” in Sunrise, Florida During The 20/20 Experience World Tour

Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 Experience World Tour hit the BB&T Arena in Sunrise, Florida on March 4th, where he surprised everyone with a solo version of *NSYNC’s classic, “Gone.”  He introduced the song by giving a shout out to his former band mate and boyband brother, Chris Kirkpatrick, who actually spent a few weeks on tour with JT, in an “aaaaww” worthy speech.  So.  Much.  Love.

So why did Justin pick this occasion to perform “Gone?”  Up until the brief (but AMAZING) *NSYNC reunion at the 2013 VMA’s at the Barclays Center, the BB&T Arena was the site of the last formal *NSYNC concert.  Justin must have been feeling the nostalgia, and played the song in honor of their last show.  (We wish he had sang this at Madison Square Garden too!!!)

We’re taking all of this as good signs of a possible future reunion – the fact that JT is even now acknowledging his boy band past, and the fond memories he had with his band mates, is a GOOD SIGN!!  We’re never giving up hope.  It’ll happen.  One day.

And we love that Chris Kirkpatrick has been on tour with him for the last few shows – maybe a practice run for their next tour, when they’ll bring along Lance, JC, and Joey?

The Friday Five: Our Favorite Songs of the Week

Happy Friday!  Here’s what we’ve been listening to this week.

5.  Demi Lovato – “Trainwreck”
We’re seeing the Neon Lights Tour tonight, and hoping that she’ll bring back this classic from her first album

4. Justin Timberlake – “Murder”/”Poison” Mashup
If you haven’t caught JT’s 20/20 Experience Tour yet, what are you waiting for?  This mashup of “Murder” and Bell Biv Devoe’s “Poison” is a highlight in the nearly 3-hour show.

3.  Austin Mahone – “Till I Find You”
We caught Austin’s Artist to Watch Tour at Hammerstein Ballroom this week, and immediately fell in love with this song.  It sounds like something NSYNC could have released, which is always a good thing!  But Austin (the one man boy band) has yet another winner with this song.  When is his album coming out again?!  We’ve been waiting so long!!

2.  Dan + Shay – “What You Do To Me”
This song was released once pre-orders went live for their debut album, “Where It All Began,” out April 1st.  And we immediately listened to it 5 times in a row.  We love what we’ve heard from Dan + Shay so far, and can’t wait for more!

1.  Austin Mahone – “What About Love”
Yes, Austin gets to be on this list twice because his show at Hammerstein Ballroom was just that good.  We’re still trying to learn the “What About Love” dance.  Maybe Austin can teach us next tour?
