The Weekend Riot just announced their Spring tour dates, including shows with Kris Allen and Kawehi and a headlining show in PA. The Weekend Riot are all about fun, quirky videos and it’s no surprise their brand new video for “25 Minutes” has little Easter eggs scattered throughout it!  In the band’s first ever Weekend Riot Podcast, or “Riotcast,” Bruce and Johnny spoke about the shout outs you can expect in the video.  You might recognize some familiar scenes from some of the cover videos the band has done.  And did you spot producer Ace Enders?

The Weekend Riot’s “Remember This Night” EP Is Out Now!

The Weekend Riot have discovered the perfect recipe for catchy songs.  Follow carefully to ensure the best results:  one part Hot Chelle Rae, one part MKTO, a dash of pop punk lyrics, stir in a ukulele, and finish with a hint of whistles.  Mix well, serve chilled with harmonies to garnish.

Each track on the Weekend Riot’s debut EP is different, showing a different side of the band.  You can hear Bruce Wiegner and Johnny Costa’s range of influences in the writing and melodies – these two work together to create some memorable songs.  Their debut EP, produced by Ace Enders (of The Early November), is solid from start to finish, and one of our favorite debuts.  We can’t wait to hear more from this talented duo!

Pop duo The Weekend Riot are an artist you need to know in 2015. Coming from the punk scene, they took their (secret) love of pop music to create a new project and The Weekend Riot was born!  Johnny Costa (vocals, ukulele) and Bruce Wiegner (vocals, guitar) went into the studio with producer Ace Enders to create acoustic driven pop that’s both energetic and catchy. They released their first single, “25 Minutes,” back in December and are gearing up to release their debut EP “Remember This Night” in March, thanks to the support of their fans.

We sat down with The Weekend Riot before their show at Webster Hall and talked about what we can expect from their upcoming EP, which artists they’d love to collaborate with, and who they would totally fangirl over.  Watch our interview below and get to know more about The Weekend Riot!

Pop duo The Weekend Riot just released their second single called “Remember This Night” from their debut EP of the same name expected out March 9th.  Produced by Ace Enders from The Early November, this track was inspired by a “summer night spent with your friend and you finally muster up the courage to ask your friend to be your bae.”  Listen to the brand new single below!
