Album Preview: Emarosa – “Peach Club”

Emarosa are on the verge or releasing something special.  The musical climate is shifting and Emarosa are ready to be a part of the genre bending movement.  Known for their post hardcore sound, Emarosa don’t want to be pigeon holed as a one trick pony.  The band are set to release their highly anticipated fifth full length record, “Peach Club” on February 8th through Hopeless Records.

Bradley Walden & co have been moving towards a more pop friendly sound but don’t discredit the band for ditching crunchy guitars for saxophone solos and dance floor anthems.  “Peach Club” is the natural progression from “131,” ready to sky rocket the Kentucky bred group into the big leagues.   Emarosa teased the new record with new tracks “Don’t Cry,” “Givin’ Up,” and “Cautious” but they saved the best for the record.

“Peach Club” is full of fun tracks you can bop along to, but we can guarantee you’ll be blasting this record with the windows down and the system all the way up.  “Get Back Up” is a motivational mid tempo track directly followed by the retro, sunny riff and synths on “So Bad” which already has a place at the top of our playlist!

Bradley lets his guard down on “xo” showcasing his earnest vocals with just a solo electric guitar which is one of the highest part of the entire record and such an honest departure from what fans have come to expect from Emarosa.  But don’t let that track fool you, these guys bring the heat back with “Hell Of It” and keep that energy moving towards the album closer “Wait, Stay.”

Emarosa aren’t bidding farewell to their old sound, they’re just building on their experiences and refusing to stay stagnant.  “Peach Club” is the welcoming of a new era both for fans and the band.

Emarosa Release New Single, “Cautious”

Emarosa just dropped a brand new track from their forthcoming album, “Peach Club” due out February 8th through Hopeless Records.  Their new track, “Cautious” is about moving on after a breakup.  When asked about it, lead singer Bradley Walden said, “The song navigates through post-breakup decisions and the way those choices can define you. Sex after heartbreak can tell you a lot about who you are. If you move on, you move on. If you can’t move on, maybe that was love you had.”

Emarosa Release “Don’t Cry” Lyric Video

Post-hardcore heavyweights Emarosa are showing a softer side in the band’s latest sonic shift towards a sparkling synth pop sound.  After years of lineup changes, Emarosa are hitting their stride and pushing genre boundries!

Emarosa just dropped a brand new track called “Don’t Cry” which serves as the second single from the Kentucky based band’s forthcoming album “Peach Club” due out February 8th through Hopeless Records.  Following the footsteps of Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy as well as helping blaze the path for pop darlings Pale Waves, “Don’t Cry” carries the melodies you expect in radio pop and the signature Emarosa lyrical content.

“We’re at that point where we’ve realized that there’s no consequences for making whatever record we want to make,” shares frontman Bradley Walden of the new record. “We started writing, and it felt like the book was being thrown out the window. There are no rules.”

SecretFangirls.com Get Emo At Emo Nite In NYC

Come one, come all to this tragic and emo affair!  We threw on a black dress and mixed in with the lot but we weren’t ready for the insane party that is Emo Nite!! West Coast based party people, EmoNiteLA, showed their love for the East Coast last night to celebrate the ultimate #TBT at Webster Hall in NYC.  Emo Nite LA brought out the biggest names in emo music as well as some special guests for a night filled with sing alongs and dancing to songs you probably haven’t heard since high school.

Matt Good (From First To Last), Craig Owens (Chiodos/badXchannels), Geoff Rickly(Thursday), and the biggest rising star Machine Gun Kelly played special DJ sets last night spinning your favorite tracks from Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore! MGK brought the biggest surprise of the night – his good friend Halsey came out to help really get the party going!

Webster Hall was three floors of emo and downstairs in their smallest room, Juiceboxxx was comanding the stage and had the best stage presence we’ve ever seen! He frequently hopped on and off stage to get into the crowd and got up close and personal with his fans.  Juiceboxxx has a unique sound that effortlessly flows between 90s hip hop to skate punk and everything in between.

If you’re ever on the fence about heading out to an EmoNite party in your city (yes, they’re touring now!) do yourself a favor and grab a ticket, layer on the eyeliner and get ready for one of the most fun nights singing, crying, and celebrating the early 2000s emo movement.
