Hunter Hayes Brings The “Red Sky Tour” To NYC’s Gramercy Theatre

Hunter Hayes is and has always been the most talented artist we have ever had the pleasure to see live. His skill on any instrument he picks up is second only to his ability to connect with his audience both through his songs and on stage banter.

Hunter brought the “Red Sky Tour” to NYC recently and he did not disappoint. Soaring through classics like “Somebody’s Heartbreak” and “Invisible,” everyone was singing every word to new tracks like “About A Boy” and “Missing You.”

He checked in on the audience several times and was answered with very loud round of cheers and applause each time. Mid show, Hunter paused to ask the crowd which type of song they’d prefer, “Happy, love song or sad song?” and to Hunter’s dismay, the audience chose the happy love song. His flavor of dry humor is part of why Hunter has so many diehard fans. He keeps it real and honest where other artists may choose follow a script. Hunter writes his own storyline and isn’t afraid to stray from it.

As many times as we’ve been lucky enough to see Hunter perform, we have never seen him play the same song the same way twice and we absolutely love him for that!

Hunter is also incredible at having other extremely talented artists on his lineup and Loren Grey is no exception. She kicked off the show and got the crowd warmed up almost immediately and kept the energy up the entire time. He even brought her out later on in his set to sing their recent duet, “Feelings (Can I Be Honest?).”

Hunter Hayes Drops New single & Video For “The One That Got Away”

Hunter Hayes is back with a brand new song and video for his latest single, “The One That Got Away” and we can’t be more stoked on it!   The track is the first song from his upcoming album “Red Sky (Part II)” due out later this year.  The new album is the companion to last year’s “Wild Blue (Part I).”  “Wild Blue” was one of our favorite albums of 2019, expressing all of the emotions related to going through a breakup or a difficult time in your life.

If the first single is any indication, “Red Sky” seems like it will focus more on the themes of freedom and moving on to a better situation.  Which is what we’re all hoping 2021 will bring!  “The One That Got Away” is a massive pop banger, a slight deviation from his heavy country sound and it will definitely get you dancing.

After Hunter’s out of this world run on “The Masked Singer,” he’s ready to be even more honest in his music.  We can’t wait to hear the rest of Hunter’s new album, and fingers crossed we’ll get a virtual concert from him again soon!  We’ve missed seeing him on stage so much, he’s one of our favorite performers as he truly gives each song a new life when performed live.

Hunter Hayes To Release “Wild Blue: Part I” Album on August 16

After nearly 4 years since dropping his last album, the wait is finally over!   And we mean over – Hunter Hayes is dropping his new album, “Wild Blue: Part I,” TOMORROW, August 16th!   Hunter shared the big news on an appearance on the TODAY show earlier this week.  He also dropped the title track of the album, “Wild Blue,” which you might have heard if you caught Hunter on the Closer To You Tour earlier this year (IT’S SO GOOD).  If not, listen to the track now!   The song, and the album, are all about finding yourself and the true feelings of freedom and lightness that go along with it.

We’re even more excited because “Part I” means there is a “Part II” and maybe even a “Part III” on the way, which means even more new music from Hunter!   What was the reason for such a long wait?  Hunter took his time to really write everything on his own and make his most personal and honest record yet.  He initially set out with the mindset of creating an album that no one would ever hear, which gave him the freedom to be as honest and real as possible.   This honesty really shines through on tracks like “Dear God” and “My Song Too.”

Hunter Hayes “Wild Blue: Part I” Tracklisting
1. “Madness”
2. “Wild Blue”
3. “Heartbreak”
4. “One Good Reason”
5. “Dear God”
6. “Loving You”
7. “My Song Too”
8. “One Shot”
9. “Night and Day”
10. “Still”

Watch Hunter Hayes’ “Rescue” Music Video

It’s real, y’all!  Hunter Hayes just released a brand new song and music video!  “Rescue” is about the people who help get you through a hard time.  Hunter has been experimenting with new ways to release music in the last couple of years, rather than dropping full albums.  This is is first new release since he dropped 3 songs last Fall.  We caught him in concert last week and he told the crowd to expect even more new music from him this Summer!

The video features performance painter David Garibaldi, whom Hunter met at a CMA Foundation event.  David is working on 3 canvases in the background as Hunter performs.  He’s teaming up with Zappos For Good to release a line of shoes inspired by the paintings in the video, with proceeds going to charities including the CMA Foundation.

As usual, Hunter explains it best: “For me, “Rescue” is about people in my life who have shown up at a time I needed them the most but didn’t know. Times when I didn’t have strength and a conversation with a friend gave me strength. Every time I sing it, it’s a release and it’s a relief. I want the fans to hear whatever it is that rescues them whether that be a person, a place or even an experience. We can have so many different kinds of conversations with a song like this and I hope that this starts the dialogue. ”

Hunter Hayes Releases “Yesterday’s Song” Video

Hunter Hayes just dropped the music video for his new single, “Yesterday’s Song!”  The track is the first single of off Hunter’s upcoming 3rd full length album (and it’s so good we’ve left it playing on repeat since the first time we heard it).  Hunter is always one to try out the latest technology to make more immersive experiences for his fans, and we love what he’s done with this video.  The video, in collaboration with YouTube, is a Virtual Reality video that shows Hunter in the studio.  You can see Hunter playing each instrument in the song, isolated: drums, guitar, vocals, sample machine, and more.

To watch the video on a computer, you’ll need to use Google Chrome browser.  Make sure you use the navigation arrows to scroll around and see Hunter playing each instrument!   Or, use a VR headset to get the full, immersive experience of the video.  You’ll feel like you’re right in the studio with Hunter!   Watch the video for “Yesterday’s Song” below!
