The Vamps Announce New Album “Wake Up” Due Out November 27th

Brit pop band The Vamps just announced a brand new single, a new album, and a worldwide tour!  That’s a lot of announcements packed into one but we’ve been waiting so patiently for new music from Connor, Brad, Tristan, and James! Packing a radio friendly punch, the first single “Wake Up” will be released October 2nd and the full album of the same name is due out on November 27th.  Get ready for The Vamps Revolution!

The boys are bringing a lot of cool friends on tour so no matter which date you go to (or if you go to more than one) you’ll have a blast and maybe find some new favorite bands.  Joining The Vamps UK Arena Tour are Conor Maynard, The Tide, and HomeTown!

Pre-sale codes for tickets for the tour will be available when you buy the first single, “Wake Up” on iTunes.  The Vamps will have special priced tickets so every fan can afford the show!  Check out the tour dates below.  Fret not, North American Vamps Fans…USA, Canada, and Mexico dates are to be announced soon!

The Vamps Release “Can We Dance?” Tour Video

The Vamps just released a special tour edition of the video for their hit “Can We Dance?”  which reminds us it’s been way too long since we’ve seen them live.  We’re hoping it means more tour dates and chances to “Meet The Vamps” in America this year!

The band will be busy through the Spring with a major headlining tour in the UK. They just added new dates to the tour, which go on sale this Friday.  Check out their upcoming tour dates HERE!

Watch The Vamps Video For “Hurricane”

The Vamps just released a brand new song and video called “Hurricane!”  The video premiered on the Disney Channel over the weekend, as the song is part of the “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” soundtrack.  You can download it in the US on iTunes or Amazon now!   Watch the video below, featuring Bella Thorne.  (Man these guys love featuring Disney girls in their music videos…)

UK fans can get the track when the pre-order the “Cecilia” EP on iTunes, out on October 12th!

The Vamps “Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart)” Video With Shawn Mendes

School may be back in session but The Vamps decided to extend summer  just a little bit longer with the release of the official video for their new single “Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart)” featuring Vine superstar Shawn Mendes!

In the video, the guys are stuck on a deserted island and trying to get home.   It almost reminds us of that movie, Love Wrecked, starring Amanda Bynes, Aaron Samuels, and Luke from “The O.C.”  Well, minus the fangirl kidnapping, and with way more Tristan in a leopard toga.   Watch the video below!

Austin Mahone & The Vamps Summer Tour Stops at the Izod Center

We were lucky to catch The Vamps at their first headlining show ever back at The Grammercy Theatre in NYC in February, and at their MTV Artist to Watch show earlier this summer.  So it was amazing to see how far they’ve come in such a short time, and to see them play in an arena setting. (And up next: a stadium!)   The Vamps played all of their singles, as well as their fun covers of Jason Derulo’s “Trumpets” and “Cecilia.”  We loved seeing all of the support The Vamps had in the arena – nearly everyone was singing and dancing along during their set.  Impressive for a band that’s relatively new to the US, but they’ve  had great success here so far.  Their “Somebody To You” EP was released earlier this month and debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard.  Pickup a copy on iTunes now!

IMG_2695Austin, Austin, Austin.  What can we say?  He just gets better and better each time we see him.  His dance moves are so smooth and flawless, and the choreography is always on point.   We love how he interacts with his dancers, another reason why we call him the “one man boyband.”  We imagine this is what it would have been like to see a 90s boyband back in the day.  And we thank him for that.  The concert was a non-stop dance party, for us anyway.  (Yes that was us doing the choreography to “Banga Banga,” “Shawty Shawty,” and “What About Love.”)

Of course Austin is more than just 90s-era slow breakdowns and perfect slow leans that would make any *NSYNC fan cry.  He can sing, too.  And play the guitar, which he showcased in an acoustic set that included covers of George Strait’s “Check Yes Or No” and John Legend’s “All Of Me.”   Too add to our boyband nostalgia, Austin put on a pair of ripped jeans that would have made Donnie Wahlberg proud.  Our only complaint?  We miss those leather tanktops Austin usually breaks out for tour…

The Vamps “Somebody To You” EP Is Out Now!

Great news for fans of The Vamps in America:  the “Somebody To You” EP is out now!

You can pickup a copy on iTunes now!  There are also exclusive versions being sold at Claire’s and Justice stores around the country.  Plus you can buy a special bundle being sold on The Vamps official store!   Since each version has a special track, we say buy as many copies as possible!  We’ve gotten 2 so far.  Plus if the EP does well, The Vamps will finally release their full length album in the US!

The Claire’s version includes their cover of The Beatles’ “Twist and Shout,” which they just released their video for.  Watch it below!  (Can we petition for the band to wear matching suits and ties more often?)

If you’re lucky enough to be going to the Austin Mahone tour this week, there will be limited edition signed copies of the EP and a bracelet at the merch booth!  Check out the dates here.

The Vamps Perform “Somebody To You” On The TODAY Show

In case you were still sleeping from the previous couple days of trying to find foreign boys in bands around NYC, The Vamps performed on The Today Show and absolutely smashed it!  The guys gave it their all this morning and here’s hoping the rest of America learns about The Vamps before the Austin Mahone tour which begins tomorrow!

The Vamps Free Acoustic Show Wednesday 7/23 at New Jersey’s Garden State Plaza!

Here’s your chance to Meet The Vamps this week!  They’re going to be playing an acoustic set at New Jersey’s Garden State Plaza Mall.  The event starts at 1pm on July 23rd near the Lord & Taylor Court in the mall.   The best part?  It’s FREE!! The mall opens at 10am but you are NOT ALLOWED to line up before 10am.

MTV Artist to Watch: The Vamps at Highline Ballroom in NYC!

British band The Vamps (yes band, NOT a boy band) played to a sold out crowd at NYC’s Highline Ballroom on Sunday.  The show was part of the MTV Artist to Watch Series, which has recently featured artists such as Austin Mahone and Hunter Hayes.   We were thrilled to have the chance to see them again!   This wasn’t their first time playing in NYC:  Back in February, they played the Gramercy Theatre with AJR.  Since then, The Vamps released their debut album “Meet The Vamps,” which has been as high as #2 on the charts in the UK, and have been all over the world in support of their album.

The quartet, Bradley Simpson (lead vocals, guitar), James McVey (lead guitar), Connor Ball (bass) and Tristan Evans (drums) really mesh well together considering they found each other via social media about 3 years ago!  Each member has their own unique style and musical taste (James for example is a fan of country stars like Dan + Shay), yet the music The Vamps create is pure, catchy pop rock at its best.  The band’s musicianship, harmonies, and talent show that  this group is more than just another band creating a frenzy among teenage girls.

Their high energy performance had the crowd dancing from start to finish!  The Vamps’ set featured all of their singles, including the latest “Somebody To You,” and the first song the band ever wrote together, “She Was The One.”  The crowd was singing along to every word, which is impressive for a band whose album hasn’t even been released in the US yet!    They have a great stage presence, interacting with each other and also with the lucky fans in the front row!

The Vamps also performed solid covers of The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside,” Simon and Garfunkel’s “Cecilia,” and a fun, rock version of Jason Derulo’s “Trumpet.”   When the crowd started chanting “take it off,” Tristan turned it into a jam session showcasing all of their musical talents, as Brad told the audience “let’s make some music together!”   If you haven’t met The Vamps yet, get ready:  they are most definitely the Artist to Watch in 2014!

Meet The Vamps at Planet Hollywood in Times Square On Monday 6/16!

The Vamps are taking America by storm this summer!  Here’s your chance to Meet The Vamps at Planet Hollywood in Times Square in NYC on Monday.   They’ll be performing an acoustic set AND making a special announcement!  If you’re in NYC, the event is from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Monday, June 16th.  Check out the flyer below for all of the details.  Be sure to line up early because it’s limited entry into the event!
