DNCE Drop “DNCE” Video

We’ve been waiting for a recorded version of this song since we first heard it and DNCE have finally answered our calls!  Joe, Jack, Jin-Joo, and Cole just dropped the video for their self-titled hype song “DNCE.”  If you’ve been lucky to see them live you know the band will usually kick off their set with this song and with good reason – it will get you HYPE!

Just like their name and previous songs, this one makes us want to DNCE around no matter where we are, and sing along at the top of our lungs.  This song is definitely one we’ll be blasting all summer long  with it’s funky bass, and Joe’s falsetto!   Watch the official video below.

DNCE, your new favorite band, just announced dates for “The Greatest Euro Tour Ever Tour.”  Having seen them live a few times now, we can definitely say that this will be one of the greatest shows you will ever attend.  Check out the dates below!   Not in Europe?  DNCE just announced they are opening for Selena Gomez on the Revival Tour this Summer across the US of A!

The Friday Five: Grease: Live!

“Grease: Live” is premiering this weekend with an all-star cast including Carlos PenaVega from BTR, Vanessa Hudgens, Keke Palmer, Carly Rae Jepsen and special guests DNCE and BoyzIIMen!

We are so excited to watch and sing along on Sunday night!  The cast is sure to dazzle audiences and bring “Grease” to a whole new generation.   Check out our Friday Five songs we can’t wait to see live!  Tune into FOX at 7pm on Sunday to watch it live!

1. “Greased Lightning”
It’ll be fun to see Carlos PenaVega chime in on this track and see him put his “Dancing With The Stars” skills on display!

2. “Beauty School Drop Out”
BoyzIIMen will guest star as Teen Angel in Sunday nights broadcast and their harmonies on this song are going to be angelic, indeed!

3. “We Go Together”
The whole cast together singing this one will bring a tear to our eyes as we remember Vanessa Hudgen’s full cast finale from every HSM movie.

4. “You’re The One That I Want”
Probably the most iconic song from the movie.

5. “Summer Nights”
Carlos and Vanessa gave a little preview of this number on TODAY!

The Friday Five: 2015 Albums of the Year (Pop)

It feels like we just wrote our 2014 Albums of the Year post about 5 minutes ago, but it’s time to look back on our favorite albums of 2015!   Here are our picks for our top pop albums of the year.  We included 2 EPs because they were too good NOT to and we’re crossing our fingers for full albums from them next year!

1.  Selena Gomez – “Revival”
After a public split from The Biebs, Selena Gomez is back! “Revival” was well worth the wait.

2. Carly Rae Jepsen – “E·MO·TION”
Carly Rae is easily one of the most underestimated pop artists, and one that certainly knows how to make a throwback album that sounds like it came straight out of the 80s.  (in a good way) 

3. The Vamps – “Wake Up”
The Vamps are poised to take over America with their new album and it’s about time – they’re so good!

4. Hilary Duff – “Breathe In, Breathe Out”
Hilary Duff’s 5th studio album was well worth the (long!) wait.

5. DNCE – “SWAAY”
This EP makes us want to sway and dance to every song!  We can’t wait for a full album from Joe, Cole, JinJoo, and Jack.

5. Jake Miller – “Rumors”
This EP was one of our favorites that came out in 2015 – every track is a JAM!  We’re anxious for new music from Jake Miller.

Missed out on Jingle Ball tickets?  Z100 also hosts an amazing, all day, FREE pre-party called the All Access Lounge!   The event, held at Hammerstein Ballroom, features live performances, games, and the chance to win meet and greets with your favorite artists!   Z100 will also give you the chance to win tickets to the main event at Madison Square Garden!   Check out the list of performers below.

T.J. Martell’s 2015 NY Family Day To Feature Hunter Hayes, DNCE, AJR & More!

The T.J. Martell Foundation just announced the lineup for its 16th Annual New York Family Day, taking place at the Brooklyn Bowl on December 13th.   The event is an afternoon full of musical performances, games, a silent auction, and more.  Family Day always features the best in music – past participants include Austin Mahone, Ed Sheeran, Jonas Brothers, and Timeflies – and this year’s lineup is outstanding!

This year’s event will feature performances by Hunter Hayes, DNCE, AJR, Becky G, MAX & more!  The show benefits the T.J. Martell Foundation, which is dedicated to raising funds for cancer, leukemia, and AIDS research.   Family Day has raised over $5million for Martell-funded research over the years so far.  A day of great music for a good cause?  Count us in!  Tickets and meet and greet packages are available now.

DNCE Celebrate The Release of “SWAAY” EP at Knitting Factory

DNCE celebrated the release of their first EP, “SWAAY,” with an intimate show at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn.  Although the EP had been out for less than 24 hours by the time of the show, the crowd seemed to know every word to tracks like “Toothbrush” and “Jinx.”  The room was packed early for a surprise secret DJ set by a masked DJ,  rumored to have been Joe Jonas.

DNCE put on a very energetic show with all member sharing mikes, rotating around the stage and engaging the crowd in any way possible.  After seeing Joe Jonas on tour in such large scale arena shows with the Jonas Brothers, his onstage energy and charisma work just as well in small club show settings.  We love the dynamic between the group – bass player/keyboardist Cole Whittle is so much fun to watch, guitarist Jin Joo Lee really knows how to shred, and of course flawless Jack Lawless rounds up the group on drums.  DNCE write fun, catchy, upbeat songs that make up want to, well, DANCE!

DNCE Announce Fall Tour Dates

Joe Jonas’ new band, DNCE, just announced they are heading out on tour this Fall!   “The Greatest Tour Ever” kicks off in November in San Francisco.  We caught one of DNCE’s showcases at CMJ, and they are so much fun live!  This is one tour you don’t want to miss.  We love that they are playing small venues, too.  We suggest buying tickets to this ASAP so you can say “hey remember that time we saw DNCE at that tiny club?”  Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 23rd, the same day DNCE is releasing their EP, “SWAAY.”  Check out the dates below!

DNCE Announce Debut EP “SWAAY” Out October 23

DNCE exploded onto the scene as Joe Jonas’ new musical brain child with former Jonas Brothers drummer Jack Lawless, JinJoo Lee, and Cole Whittle.  Their debut single “Cake By The Ocean” had us confused until we heard it and we instantly wanted more music from this super fun electronic dance band.  And to go eat cake by the ocean.

Now, Joe and his cohorts are gearing up to release their debut EP “SWAAY” on October 23rd!   No word yet if they’ll tour the EP (they should, and soon!) but they’ll be playing several stops 2015 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour.
