Sascha Zverev Wins 1st Masters 1000 Title
Sascha got revenge for his good friend Dominic Thiem’s semifinal loss to Novak Djokovic, with a strong 6-4, 6-3 win over Djokovic in the finals in Rome.  The win is the first Masters 1000 title for Sascha, who at 20-years-old is the youngest to win a Masters title since Novak Djokovic in 2007.   Sasha will also enter the Top 10 for the first time in his career with the title in Rome.  We think Sascha has officially gone from #NextGen to #GenerationNow.

Thanasi Kokkinakis Makes Return to Singles
The young Aussie is playing in his first ATP World Tour level event in singles since he made a (brief) comeback in January.  Kokkinakis has had a rough time with injuries so early in his career, and we’re so glad to see him back on court!  Unfortunately, he lost in the first round to Denis Istomin in Lyon but we hope this is just the beginning of a strong comeback for him.

Novak Djokovic Announces Andre Agassi as New Coach
Rumors had been swirling for a while that Andre Agassi would be joining Djokovic’s coaching team.  Djokovic confirmed the rumors in his post-match conference in Rome, following his loss to Zverev.  Djokovic will officially start working with Agassi in Paris on a trial basis.

Dominic Thiem Beats Rafael Nadal in 3rd Straight Try
The hottest new rivalry on tour lately has been Rafa vs Domi.   The two met in the finals in both Barcelona and Madrid, with Rafa emerging as the winner of both titles.  Domi came closer to victory each match, and finally figured out a way to beat Rafa in the quarterfinals in Rome.  Thiem won the match 6-4, 6-3, showing off his aggressive and powerful playing style.  Bamos!

Roland Garros Qualifying Underway
It’s hard to believe that it’s already time for the second slam of the season!   Roland Garros Qualifying is officially underway.  In the US, you can watch the action on Tennis Channel Plus.   Players to watch include young Americans Reilly Opelka, Dennis Novikov, and Stefan Kozlov, and new pros Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Casper Ruud.

Rachel Crow Releases New Single “Dime”

Rachel Crow has been hard at work on creating new music and her brand new single “Dime” is finally here!  We first caught Rachel Crow when she was opening for Big Time Rush on their Summer Tour and we’re so excited she’s back with new music.  “Dime”  was co-written and produced by Ryan and Jack from AJR!  The new song is a fun and empowering track that will get you singing along before you know it.

New Boyband Alert: Next Town Down

Get ready to meet your new favorite boyband, Next Town Down! Terence, Tre’Von, Chris, Malik, and Leon have clearly studied up on their boyband history.  They released an incredible video, “The Evolution of Boybands,” that hits everyone from The Temptations to New Edition to *NSYNC and B2K.  They absolutely nail the harmonies and the choreography from each era in boyband history.  The video has been blowing up on social media, with the band getting love from *NSYNC and Ricky Bell.

Next Town Down also dropped their first original single, “Good Times” and you can hear all of their influences in the track!   It’s the perfect feel good pop song.  The guys, who found each other on social media, all grew up listening to Boyz II Men and New Edition.  Listen to “Good Times” now!

Citizen Føur are so ready for Summer in their brand new music video for their latest single “Want You Back!”  The fun gif-ready video was filmed all around Los Angeles and on the beach putting us in the mood for a beach day immediately.

The track reminisces about an ex who just doesn’t compare to the new girl and let’s face it – every great boyband needs a song that has “Want You Back” in the title!  (see *NSYNC, Jackson 5, Backstreet Boys) Citizen Føur are the boyband we all need in our lives.  They have the harmonies, the smooth moves, and the style every great boyband needs.

New York pop duo Fly By Midnight just dropped their latest single “XL” and it’s a slow burn of a serious Summer song! The dreamy new single has the same  retro sound you’ve come to love from Justin and Slavo making it the perfect follow up to their song “Vinyl.”

Billbaord’s own Hot 100 Festival is the one of the only festival lineups where you’ll see names like We The Kings, Cash Cash, Lil Yachty, Bebe Rexha, and Camila Cabello on the same ticket! Billboard Hot 100 celebrates the artists that have tapped into their audiences and knows what makes a viral song to keep the fans requesting and coming back for more.

Rafael Nadal Wins 3rd Consecutive Title in Madrid
Rafa’s outstanding clay season continues, as he won his 3rd consecutive title on clay so far this season.    Rafa has been on a roll winning Monte Carlo, Barcelona and now Madrid.   The King of Clay defeated arguably the best clay court player of the younger generation, Dominic Thiem (the Prince of Clay?), in both the Barcelona and Madrid finals.  The Madrid title was especially sweet as Rafa defeated Novak Djokovic for the first time in 7 matches, in their record 50th career meeting.

Juan Monaco Announces Retirement
“Pico” made a surprise announcement that he would be retiring from professional tennis on Monday on social media.  He had only played 3 matches so far this year.  Monaco turned pro in 2002 and had won 9 ATP World Tour Titles, reaching a career high of #10 in the world.    We wish Pico all the best!  (and maybe more game show appearances?)

Frances Tiafoe Wins Aix en Provence Challenger
The #NextGen American won his second clay court challenger title of the year over the weekend in Aix en Provence.  The win brings Frances up to a career high of #65 in the ATP World Tour rankings and to #3 in the ATP #NextGen Race to Milan.  #BigFoeOnTheComeUp indeed.

British triple threat Mackenzie Sol just dropped his new single “Laugh” and it’s guaranteed to make you smile!  The fun track will have you singing and dancing along in no time.  It’s the perfect song to listen to on those days when things seem so bad that all you can do is laugh it off!   It’s one of those songs that we fell in love with the first time we heard it.  It’s that catchy!

The song was co-written by Martin Johnson (from Boys Like Girls, his extensive writing credits include one of our favorite Hunter Hayes songs!) and John Feldmann (he’s worked with 5SOS, Good Charlotte, Blink-182, and Avril Lavigne .. just to a name a few) along with Johnathan Itch Fox and producer Adrian Newman.  Watch the lyric video for “Laugh” below!
